They just tweeted this
3.8 San Fernando. One quick sharp jolt just south of Griffith Obervatory here in Los Feliz.
I felt it in Los Angeles.
weird, it’s showing up with zero depth.
Barely felt it. But it was felt.
Barely felt it. But it was felt.
3.9 8km ESE of Santa Clarita, California
Not enough time for review. I suspect it’ll be developed shortly.
She wont be tweeting you unless you’re a female from what I hear and that just BREAKS my heart.
If it were a real earthquake where are the pictures of all the condiments in the aisles at the grocery stores?
All right, who is following Scott Baio on Twitter? Joany loves Chachi!
Perhaps what was showing up with zero depth was radiated from the 7.7 earthquake that just happened off the British Columbia coast. See below:
So here we are a week before the elections with a “perfect storm” on the east coast, and maybe a catastrophic earthquake to strike on the west coast. Oh what fun on election day.
24 minutes ago, magnitude 3.9, Greater Los Angeles area
8 hours ago, magnitude 3.9, Southern California
Nothing in Hancock Park
Born and raised in L.A.
A 3.8? We just look up from the screen and kinda go “hmmm.” Then back we go to what we were doing.
I was in Richmond, VA when the quake hit there a while ago. The response cracked me up.
Didn’t feel a thing here in San Fernando Valley.
interesting site. i wonder what the incident was at Salton Butte on the 26th?
one just hit now. looks to be fairly close (looking at the quake cam)
7.7 overnight off west coast of Canada.
Isn’t San Fernando located in the valley where the Valley Girls come from?
i thought they meant something happened on the 26th, but the author is referring to the noxious stink of september.
You are welcome.
I guess passing gas isn’t headline news.
USGS said 3.9 up by Newhall. No biggee.
Shake and bake here in commifornia!
I felt it here on the looney westside..no biggie..was VERY minor..compared to other quakes I have felt this one was as Obama would say “a bump in the road”
@Wow! @Thanks for @letting us @know!
Scott who? I don’t care about actors thoughts on anything. Except Eastwood.
Los Angeles Geography 101:
The San Fernando Valley comprises several small communities, officially part of the City of Los Angeles, though they have their own local councils: Woodland Hills, Canoga Park, Northridge, Chatsworth, Encino, Tarzana, Reseda, Van Nuys, et al.
One of these communities, San Fernando, declined to be annexed to the City of Los Angeles and is still an independent city, with its own city government. It shares its name with the San Fernando Valley, in which it is located.
So essentially the City of San Fernando is in the San Fernando Valley and surrounded by the City of Los Angeles on all sides.
“Andrea,” narrator of the song “Valley Girl,” lived in Encino. The “really, really good” part of Encino, which, if you judge by real estate prices, is up in the hills that divide the San Fernando Valley from the rest of the Los Angeles.
