He was placed in the White House as a figure head, just as he was placed in every other “job” he has ever had. And while there, someone must tell him what to do in order to not waste the extraordinary opportunity the power of the office provides a radical left intent upon turning the US into a MArxist state.
Jarrett is Obama’s keeper and does the job perhaps grudgingly, but she knows what a great chance it is to deliberately destroy this nation.
Because she would never win any election she entered. It also may not be her “thing”, which points back to #1. It could be something as simple as not wanting any scrutiny.

It seems that both Obamas owe her a great deal. She appears to have taken charge of their lives - mutually beneficial. As such she can do pretty much what she pleases - out of the spotlight.
Has she ever been interviewed at length? She is content to remain in the shadows - not taking credit or blame in public.

Not everybody can be president. In fact, hardly anybody can. If they want that kind of power the most they can hope for is to be a very trusted advisor.
Telling Barry every move to make, what to say, what to do, who can talk to Barry, who can't, what to do when the U.S. credit rating was downgraded.
I don't think it's quite like that. A president gets a lot of advice. Valerie Jarrett's may be the advice that Obama listens to and acts upon, but it's still presented as advice or suggestions, not as orders. He wouldn't do what she says if her ideas were presented as commands.
