The residents of Staten Island are pleading for help from elected officials, begging for gasoline, food and clothing three days after Sandy slammed the New York City borough.
“We’re going to die! We’re going to freeze! We got 90-year-old people!” Donna Solli told visiting officials. “You don’t understand. You gotta get your trucks down here on the corner now. It’s been three days!”
Staten Island was one of the hardest-hit communities in New York City. More than 80,000 residents are still without power. Many are homeless, and at least 19 people died on Staten Island because of the storm.
One of the devastated neighborhoods was overwhelmed by a violent surge of water. Residents described a super-sized wave as high as 20 feet, with water rushing into the streets like rapids.
There is no food in the grocery stores. Obama and his teams could not organize their way out of a paper bag. By election day...there will be riots.
I notice Shep and Geraldo aren’t screaming this time around.
Katrina response was way faster. By this time, there were already cruise ships in the river taking aboard refugees, FEMA trucks were arriving with massive shipments of food, helicopters were dropping supplies, thousands of FEMA trailers were in route, Bush ordered gas from the petroleum reserved released, and governor Perry was sending buses from Houston to evacuate people in the Superdome to Texas.

Obama’s Katrina..of course the media won’t report on this because it makes their messiah look bad..I am waiting for the likes of Kanye West to start saying that Obama doesn’t care about Staten Island
Probably because it’s NYC and all the democrats are from the NE.
Yeah, I’ve never seen such sincerity in a politician before...it rivals that of Obama.
Well, shep and geraldo are screaming, but not about the souls who were deserted by obama - can’t have that.
No, shep wants to make sure all us dummies realize the hurricane is due to glow bull warming - and he screamed, “keep your politics out of my face.”
And I heard geraldo screaming at Hannity right before Sandy hit land, but I didn’t stick around to hear what that was about.
After everything that Obama has done they still complain, jeesh.

It’s pretty easy to keep a couple weeks of food and water on hand at all times. You don’t need a bunker. Just be prepared.

Plenty of difference. The lower Ninth flooded because a defective federal flood control structure failed. Those who had prepossessed found their supplies under water, along with their cars. Those who flooded on Staten island did so because they ignored warnings.
Like Katrina, they had plenty of warning.
Some people just won’t take a hint.
I have to believe that people in Staten Island have winter clothes.
