Greetings. You appear to have been educated in political science as well as philosophy. I have only had what I consider superficial exposure to such things. I have a question should you be inclined to answer. I was wondering what your thoughts were on C Wright Mills and his ideas of the power elite. I would be very interested in your thoughts if you would be willing to share them.
One more question if you please, how far down the road to serfdom have we traveled as of now. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

Gee sorry. I did not write the Article. The Author went by the name of ACE and was secretive about his real Identity. It was posted by an FR member called “Coyote”. He/She had wrote several other articles too. They have not posted in many years. Coyote may be Ace, But I don’t even know. I can relate to much in this article, and it taught me a lot, but I am not so educated as to be able to carry on the conversation you are looking for.
In answer to your 2nd question. I do think we are so very close. Tonight was an historic confirmation of how close we really are. In fact I don’t believe that the outcome is changeable any longer.
So glad you remember. I have always tried to keep it from disappearing for ever. The original FR achieves that contained this and the other articles by ACE was Deleted. The The Laissez Faire City Times is long ago defunct.
So sad it has been coming true.
I may still have the printout somewhere.
Do you have the url of the original article? I should be able to find it on archive.org (the wayback machine) because I would like to see the original comments. I will post what I find here. Thanks.

Thanks for saving that essay and providing the readers here with another opportunity to recognize the depth and breadth of the evil we now must deal with if freedom and liberty is to re-emerge on planet earth before the Second Coming.
It’s a good first step for that proverbial long trip facing the undaunted.
