I don't know about "offensive", but the video is unwatchable due to the too-sudden visual shifts, the song is stupid, and its production is a disco abomination.

I suspect that the preliminary reviews were to the effect of, “stinks on ice”, “crappy job”, “bad music, bad lyrics, bad video”, “substandard performance”, etc.
