A railway bridge in Durham, North Carolina is (unofficially) the toughest bridge in the world.

Alternatively, Durham, North Carolina has the dumbest truck drivers in the world. (I’ve seen this video many times, still cracks me up).
"let's go sit on that bench and call em dumb sh**z as they get out and walk around the debris"
LOL! Thank you for the laughs this morning. Notice that many of the trucks are moving company trucks. Tells me that they’re not aware of their vehicle’s height.
Most bridges around TX post their height if there’s much chance a vehicle might be too tall to clear the opening.
Watching that video makes me wonder how really stupid some people are.
We’ve got one here just outside Chicago that has been like that one for years, but a short time ago they lowered the road and it’s ok for height now, but it floods when it rains. You just can’t beat them, can you?
Boudreaux lived across the bayou from Clarence, who Boudreaux did not like. There was no bridge or other easy way to cross the bayou so the two would argue by yelling across the bayou.
Boudreaux would often yell across the bayou to Clarence, “Clarence, if I had a way to cross dat bayou, I would come beat you up!”.
The threats continued for many years.
One day the state built a bridge across the Bayou.
Soon after the bridge was built, Boudreaux’s wife, Clotile, says “Boudreaux, you’ve been talking about going across dat bayou to beat up Clarence all dese years. Now that they have dat bridge, what are you waiting for?”
So Boudreaux decided it was time to go see Clarence, so he started walking down to the bridge.
Just as he was getting ready to cross the bridge, he looks up at the sign on the bridge, reads it, and goes back home.
When Boudreaux gets home, Clotile asks “Mais, Boudreaux, did you go beat up Clarence?” Boudreaux said, “Mais no Clotile, dat sign on dat bridge says ‘Clearance 13 feet 3 inches’. Mais, Clotile, Clarence don’t look dat big from across de bayou!”

Take a closer look. Its yankee carpetbaggers running into the bridge
LOL!
I love Cajon country and the Cajon people and culture.
We had a lot in Beaumont, TX where I grew up—the Bourgeois, the Fontenots, the Chargeois, and all the other Cajon names that abounded down there.
Salt of the earth people..........
I have a daughter living in Lafayette LA, heart of the Cajon culture.
She loves it there.
“Watching this video tells me that some folks in North Carolina are pretty dumb too. :) “
HEY those trucks and campers weren’t driven by locals, lol.
You would think there would be enough Obama Bucks to dig the road bed down about a foot.
Don't be too quick to judge.
The "11foot8" website explains why neither will ever be done ... and the reasons are ... reasonable.
Sometimes you're just stuck with what you're given.
We had a bridge like this in Arlington, VA, right outside the windows of my band class in Jr. High.
Every week or so “crash!” some truck would get its trailer crumpled....
