GLENN BECK TO REPUBLICANS: The Tea Party Is 'Doubling Down'
Business Insider ^ | 11/12/2012 | Grace Wyler

Posted on 11/12/2012 5:22:52 PM PST by SeekAndFind

Since his departure from Fox News almost a year and half ago, conservative media icon Glenn Beck has been markedly absent from the political landscape.

But in the wake of last week's Republican defeat, the Tea Party leader has message for those in the political Establishment who are already writing his movement's obituary: We're not going anywhere.

In a remarkably sedate address to viewers of his daily online talk show last week, Beck offered a candid apology for wrongly predicted a Romney victory, and urged conservatives not to despair at the loss:

"We're not going to sit and wallow in it, we're not going to point fingers, we're not going to yell at anything," Beck said. "What we're going to do is what Americans always do is pick ourselves up by the boot straps, take stock of what happened and move on."

And later, he added this warning to the party:

"I have to tell you, I think the only one that is in real trouble is the GOP," he said. "It's Karl Rove and the Establishment Republicans that spent half a billion dollars and look where they got. We were making signs, and showing up at rallies and calling our neighbors and friends — which one really wasted their treasure? We didn't waste our time because we connected with people and we know what we are."

Beck himself will tell you that he’s not a Tea party leader but I’m sure someone will be along shortly to attack him for it.

The author is wrong, starting with his first statement. Beck has never been absent from the political arena. Quite frankly he needs to shut up and stay out of the process, now.

This should work: a conservatives party based on the conservative principles of all significant groups in the country.

His comment on the Wigs was delicious...

I am waiting for The Princess who is renowned fighter from the outer lands who will serve at the table ( Yes it is what her name means ) to chart the course I felt in my gut the day she resigned. I am so over the GOP, I am waiting for the Santelli moment where we have had enough and it starts on it's own....

The Tea Party Is Doubling Down? That was what I thought would have happened during this election. Did the tea party let Obama win because they didn’t want Mr. Romney?

CW-II is coming.

May as well accept it.

Beck is hardly a Tea Party figure. He trashed the conservative Republicans constantly in his campaign for his fellow Mormon Romney.

To add, the Tea Party let the dems have the Senate.

As Josey Wales said, “to hell with them fellas, the buzzards and the worms gotta eat.”

I plan to infiltrate the Dems. If enough of us do it they
will not know what hit them. Then just when they count on us, evaporate.

I think we’ll find out that Karl Rove, Roger Ailes and the like told Sarah Palin to make herself real scarce this election...and I think Sarah obliged.

The RNC consultants ran this one. Most tea party supported but didn’t pick the candidate nor set the agenda.

Mr Romney didn’t want our votes. I voted for him, but was not enthusiastic about it. There is nothing conservative about Romney, he’s just another country club republican.

I voted against Obummer.

You, obviously, do not listen to Glenn. He pushed for a whole string of conservatives over Romney during the primaries. He was especially a big supporter of Santorum. He constantly talked about holding Romney's feet to the conservative fire if he was elected. You are so blinded by your Mormon hatred that you can't recognize a true conservative.

Even now he is one of the few on the radio that's trying to. Rally support behind Allen West here in Florida. The mainstream GOP redistributed him out of office and the democrats in my county have done all they can to steal the election from him. But, other than Glenn, wok is talking about it and who is putting West on the air to plead his case. The GOP is contemptuous of true conservatives like West and Beck.
