Don’t have a recommendation for you, but remember you have to send them your acquisitions and dispositions records book if you let your license lapse, so you will show up on a list anyway.

Sorry - what I meant to write is, “I would renew it if I were you.”

renew and then go to home depot for some PVC pipe and end caps to store your property in the ground should that become necessary...

I’m not too worried about my records, but you bring up a good point. The practical, radical side of me says, “Come and take them.” Between this, my NRA Endowment Membership, and several state concealed carry permits, I have to imagine I’m already high on an extermination list.

I've not purchased anything with it in several years nor have I done any restorations or refurbs since 2006. Aside from the "just to have it" aspect, does it make sense for me to keep renewing knowing that it could be used as a registry of doors on which to knock or am I already part of the machine having had one for the last 15 years anyway. I think you are already past being counted on a list of people to visit, if it ever comes to that.
I would say you renewing it does not expose you anymore.

What property? All of my guns went overboard in a tragic boating accident in the Gulf.

When they come they won't be knocking on any doors....

Renew or not, you’re already on record as a danger to the regime, with an asterisk.

You guys are “our” canary in the mine.
“They” will come after you first, and that will be “our” cue to take the appropriate action.

I’ve kept mine renewed just because you never know when some goody pops up for sale. I’m already on multiple lists so I’m not worried about keeping me on another.

While renewing might not trip a flag (just SOP), NOT renewing might.
This administration will pass.

C&R does not have to send it to them. There isn’t even a rule for him to have to keep it after his license expires.

Dont have a recommendation for you, but remember you have to send them your acquisitions and dispositions records book if you let your license lapse, so you will show up on a list anyway. That's not true for a C&R.
I'd renew. It's cheap and the BATFE knows about you anyway.
