HUNKER DOWN

Grey and gloomy day, chilly wind driving intermittent drizzle. The tide is way up driven by the wind. The sea and marsh birds tend to hunker down on days like this and sheltered fresh water ponds are favorite places for them.
Storks, Roseate Spoonbills, White Ibis, Snowy Egrets, Great Egrets, Little Blue Herons and Tri Color Herons were in clusters in this pond.
The Osprey was just chilling out.

I know it’s an osprey, but it reminded me of an Eagle.

A cloudy day with light drizzles. A butterfly flutters its wings, ants crawl across the pavement, and a dog in the distance wags its tail. Meanwhile puddles begin to evaporate to the sound of stifling yawns.

When I first saw the title, I assumed yet another Obama reelected thread.
Then I thought smartass responce:

Those are really nice pictures. I like the second one. Here's my favourite from the last couple of weeks. Purple jalapenos growing in the window with snow outside:

It looks like a couple of Wood Storks in there as well.

As my not-so-great-Grandfather used to say (nsg-Grandpa was a NicNak Indian of the Inebria Tribe),
"When Snowy Egret sit on stick next to muck-filled pond-hole, and Osprey has neck-feathers ruffled by breeze, pink Flamingoes dream of dancing fast and stomping wrinkled feet to chattering of castinets..." Nsg-Grandpa was a babbling, self-molesting drunk.
