Macy's urged to 'dump Trump' from ads -- or else
Life Inc. Today ^ | November 14, 2012 | Ben Popken

Snip snip snip. What's that sound? The sound of over 558,000 scissors at the ready.

If Macy's doesn't cut its ties to Donald Trump, over half-a-million signers of an online petition will be urged to cut up their Macy's store credit card, the creator of the petition, Angelo Carusone, told TODAY this morning.

Carusone, 30, said he started the petition after seeing a new Macy's ad that mixed in footage from "Miracle on 34th Street" with cameos from several of the faces behind Macy's celebrity brands. There's Justin Bieber, Martha Stewart, Taylor Swift, and then there's Donald Trump, skeptical that the old man in the stocking cap and suit is really Santa and tugging on his beard. Macy's sells a line of Trump-branded ties and fragrances. Stuart Elliot, the New York Times' advertising columnist, noted that the ad was a "clever twist" on Trump's notoriety for casting doubt on whether President Obama's birth certificate and college transcript were real.

But to Carusone, director of online strategy for the media watchdog group Media Matters, the ad struck him as a cynical "embracing" of Trump's brand, which Carusone described as being built on "consequence-free bullying," noting the birtherism controversy, and Trump's history of misogynistic comments. The ad was also released shortly after Trump tweeted calls for "revolution," following President Obama's re-election.

You’re making friends and influencing millions.

Odd thing, I am not swayed with cheap tricks or thuggery.

Do you honestly think that our Gov should be about egocentric jackasses that are making themselves rich without a care for the common man?

I’m gonna say this one more time in a way that I hope you can understand.

Trump is for Trump and Obama is for Obama.

Trump better have a explanation than that for ripping off these poor folks. These were just regular people. Many of them wanted to retire at Trump Baja and used much of their savings for deposits for condos that Trump never intended to provide.

Trump Baja, just another scam. Anybody who buys anything with the name Trump on it is just another Trump sucker. And, Trump makes his living fleecing Trump suckers. Trump’s argument is that these suckers have no right or reason to believe that anything bearing the Trump label is anything other than another Trump scam.

“He may be rich, but he is an insufferable pompous bore.”

He may be an insufferable pompous bore but if they succeed in dumping him, they’ll be able to dump anyone who is against Obama.

You know, Trump is many things: crass, whoreish, outside of business foolish, etc. But how can he be a bully to the guy with all the nukes? They’re just silly, these inferiority by proxy complexes. Demeaning to Obama, too, though they’d never admit it.

The side I am on is to support a guy who does not make stupid “huge” announcements only to see that it was completely ridiculous. How many times do you have to hear from him that he has something and doesn’t?????

Bennett received that verification in his office on May 25, 2012.

DNC Counsel Bob Bauer was informed of Hawaii’s disclosure (and that any certification of Obama as the DNC’s candidate would thus be both perjurious and fraudulent and his failure to warn the signatories would be subornation of perjury) on Aug 31st - 4 days before the DNC Convention began.

The DNC Executive Committee, every state democratic party chair, every state Secretary of State, and every state Attorney General was cc-ed on that letter from attorney Larry Klayman and received it within the next week or two.

We now have proof that results-changing election fraud occured in EVERY STATE, when Bob Bauer counseled Villaigarosa and Germond to sign what he knew was a perjurious OCON (Official Certification of Nomination) and when he or someone else submitted that perjurious and fraudulent OCON to each Secretary of State - OR when Debbie Wasserman-Schultz failed to correct the provisional nomination she had earlier submitted, upon learning that Obama could not lawfully be the DNC candidate.

I’m speechless. So this campaign was truly a dog and pony show because the R’s knew about it, also. And I’m sitting here waiting for them to do something about voter fraud - when they know not only the votes were fraud but so is the candidate. So the media knows this and that includes our guys. Now we see why Romney HAD to be the candidate, it was to remain status quo. During the primaries, the media was quite obvious they wanted him to win. While evil, they were, also, transparent.

Trump gave them a signal that he knew it with his $5M mock bet. At least that’s the way I see it now. I also know prayers get answered because I prayed for exposure since ‘08. Mainly because I remembered my education on teaching the restrictions on who can be president - his book alone was proof he wasn’t. Then we find out his records are hidden, etc., etc.

Wonder if I can assume Col Lakin’s attorney knows this now.

You are a champ, a Patriot, no doubt about it. Thank you.

“We heard nothing from our elected officials who WE PAY. Once again, a private citizen has to do what the spineless refuse to do.”

Yes...everyone knows who Trump is, so I give him credit when he speaks up! The bad thing is...he’s called a stupid fool with bad hair. He is neither stupid nor a fool, and at least he has hair. I like him! He has guts to do what no one else is doing!

Also he’s always being accused of doing something for publicity...such as offering to buy the lots for 6 million on which the Muslims were building a mosque? Anyone with common sense should know that the guy doesn’t need publicity!

“I used to admire Trump until I learned about some of his scams that have cost some regular folks to lose their life savings. Check out this article, for example.”

That article was written by a gay person who is employed by the New York Times....

Hmmmm....what does THAT tell you?

Everything about that scam tells me that Trump will be forced to repay monies taken from the folks that were the targets of this scam. And, of course, Trump's central role in the Trump Baja scam reflects very poorly on his character.
