This is what I don’t understand....often a state sues the Feds to make them stop doing whatever......why not simply say no. We refuse to implement whatever. Minimum wage for instance. Where in the constitution does it allow the Feds to set a minimum wage in Texas for instance? It doesn’t. Texas can set its minimum wage at $2 an hour...or have no minimum wage. Same with redistricting and the voting rights act. The constitution doesn’t give the Feds the authority to tell a state how to draw its congressional districts....other examples abound. No need for secession, just tell the Feds to go pound sand.

I agree with your sentiment, but the way the feds control the states is by threatening to withhold federal funds for education, highways, etc.

But when you go the secession route, you no longer care whether you get federal funds, because you will not then be paying all those taxes to DC.
