You can’t put new wine in an old wineskin nor repair an old garment with new cloth. As long as we are full of ourselves, we have no room for God. We must get rid of the old to make room for the new.
All that is happening is a great emptying of ourselves to make room for God.
I believe it’s more like Obama emptying us to remake us in his image.
