When you are right...you must have confidence in that.
God is with us...what more do we need?
I like what you posted better than the Dylan Thomas poem. ;-)
The GOP capitulated in 1960 when Nixon allowed Kennedy to steal the election ... and they’ve become more brazen in their theft EVERY election since.
Until we start seeing videos of brawls in Congress like we see coming out of Taiwan we won’t ever get back to an even keel.

I have never understood this community's aversion to self-penned editorials by fellow members. Even the word, 'vanity', is a put down, and something of a pre-conceived notion of inferiority. The group agreement seems to be that articles written by professional urinalists in the State-Run Media are better than what Freepers can write.
Pardon me, but Barf!
I've read JimRob's rules, and have never seen anything that discourages, nor prohibits members from posting their own thoughts in article form.
Frankly, I don't get it. Never have.
and after the movie We have rice pudding and wind sprints to the head,,,
I am getting to old for rallies and marches,
I’m listening for the sounds of battle,
all I hear are crickets.
Frankly I think the quality of writing is about equal for the most part. Look around. How many people post to ANY thread relating to Obama that he's "a lying Marxist socialist communist puppy eater" and just leave it at that. It's like conservative Tourette syndrome--no thought, no analysis, no flare, just a bunch of buzzwords strung together.
If that's the quality of writing we can look forward to from our own, then I'm glad for the dearth of such content.
Thx much!;-)
I thought it was profound...at least it was when it hit me.
These were not buzzwords...
Some gal filling in for Hannity on the radio today had the following quote from Winston Churchill:
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
I’m more to find inspiration in RUSH (the rock group) lyrics though!
One of my favorite songs is “Bravado”:
“...If the dream is won -
Though everything is lost
We will pay the price,
But we will not count the cost...”

Conserve America Party File.
Damn... And you were doing so well, right up until that point.
You're describing comments. I'm talking about Freeper editorials, otherwise derogatorily known here as 'vanities'.
I'll admit that the same criticism can be leveled at vanities, but some are quite good. Even exceptional. That's not the point, though. Why should anyone care whether an article is copied and pasted from the MSM, or whether it's an original Freeper editorial?
That's what I don't get.
Speaking of exposing communists, Curtis Bowers still has his "Agenda" video on the Internet, where you can view it in its entirety for free.
That's the first step on the road to recovery.
I don’t think there’s anything particularly wrong/bad about this vanity, I’m commenting on FReeper writings in general. There are some fantastic writers here on FR, and I look forward to their opinions.
However, there are not nearly as many deep thinkers and good writers here as some would believe.
Deep Thinkers and Good Writers???
But aren't comments technically "mini-vanities"?
I understand your point, but I think there's a healthy bit of self-policing here. Honestly, if a vanity is even halfway decent, the author tends to get some pats on the back. I've rarely seen a vanity that attempted to analyze an issue get ripped to shreds.
I never understood it either. Oh and a Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours buddy! (I haven’t had a lot of time to post of late, good “seeing” you here!)
Right back atcha, friend. Glad to see that you're still hale and hearty after what your state has been through recently. Most definitely a time for thanksgiving in your neck of the woods.
