i believe in the original they called themselves the wolverines because that was the name of their football team. they were kids after all.
When I see a pic of der leader, I usually mutter a simple “Azzhole” pretty loudly...makes the point effectively.
NORKS need not invade the Pacific Northwest. They are already run by Commies.
The Pacific Northwest are not full Commie yet and can still buy food.
Michigan taxpayers contributed 14 million dollars on this film.

On an earlier FR posting (maybe Wednesday), it was reported that the film makers and actors spent $44M+ in MI and were then given back something like $16M. Net gain to MI for giving the film makers the enticement to film there.
The original was a good idea very well made. That leaves...?

I’ll take #2 for $300, Alex.
Just imagine them trying to remake Gone With The Wind or Songs of the South today.......
I heard that it was originally going be the Chinese invading, but it stirred feathers so they changed it to be PC. And now it is obviously absurd. I can’t enjoy a movie with a ridiculous plot.
The original had two interesting characters that would be harder to find in a bizarre, isolated, sci-fi type nation’s army like North Korea is.
The Cuban Paratroop leader was very cool, and a positive portrayal of elite military commanders, and so was the hunter killer Russian, did this movie have any interesting north Koreans?
Is the chair still against the wall?
Ha!!!:-)
OP: thanks for the cliff note on W2012.

Who knows - another term or three with Demo-marxists at the helm to "fundamentally transform Amerika" and we may be so disarmed and controlled that they'll just let them have their way with little or no means (or desire) left to resist.
“Is the chair still against the wall?”
Does ‘John still have a long moustache’?
More than likely muslims but hollywood is full of cowards and pervs...

I think the only way to buy the ORIGINAL Songs of the South is to buy from some guy in a hoodie in a back alley.
I saw it. The original is WAY better, don’t waste your money on this colossal flop soon to be on DVD at bargain prices. The only believable part was the setting, E WA. Most flicks of this genre take place in a gun free zone like CA or MA.
As an interesting aside the lead in showed Barry Soetoro as pres yapping about national security this and that. Yet, once the ‘festivities’ started nothing more was heard from him. It almost makes one think he was sidelined or enabled the invasion by way of omission. Either way that bit was believable.
I think a more believable scenario is not one of foreign invaders but our own govt being the armed aggressor.
