I’ll second that; it has been one of the better seasons. The more race winners, the better. Except the one by that idiot, Maldonado.

did I hear that Michael will start on full wets and a rain set up?

Ross Braun the chess master

that might be an interesting start

I'd rather not see his last race be unremarkable he deserves better than he has been treated by Ferrari and Mercedes

all i could find said full wet set-up but didn't mention tires...

Michael Schumacher revealed that he had set his car up for a wet race ahead of qualifying for the Brazilian Grand Prix.

In a dry qualifying session, Schumacher could only secure 13th place on the grid as he dropped out in Q2. Ahead of the final race of his career, Schumacher admitted he had been disappointed by the pace shown in FP3 so decided to switch his main focus to Sunday with a rain-affected grand prix expected.

The car was set up for the wet but he had dry tires. You have until 3 minutes before the start or the race to choose wet or dry tires.

Very exciting race. The top drivers went all out and it was interesting from start to finish. Too bad Vettel got spun early on, I would've liked to see Vettel and Alonso dice it out together, especially in the rain.

I thought it quite..... ummm, "dumb" of RB to have Vettel pit for more drys (and it was the hard compound, too!), then make him pit again for intermediates a few laps later. But, what they hey, I'm not racing team management.

Alonso stayed out on his medium tires and they were pretty shot, too, but at least he stayed out. Bringing Vettel in put him way back. Considering the crashes and spins, it's a miracle (for Vettel) that nothing happened to Button, which would have, possibly, given the win to Alonso, and the championship.

Well, another season in the record books. It's too bad Bob Varsha is staying with SPEED while Steve and David are going to NBC for F1. I liked Bob's excitable commentary, and I think the three of them made a good team. I wonder who, if anyone, will replace him? I can't think of anyone currently at NBC that I could stomach!

Post race commentary showed it was a little more complicated than that.

Yes, the red/yellow FLAG was shown at one point with a yellow LIGHT just beyond. And then there was the all-clear green light as they went up the hill, and THEN yellow lights again (for whatever reason) as they went over the crest as Vettel did his pass...they said Perez went into the pits anyway, but it didn’t look like that was even possible from his track position. Hmmm.

Man, if this ends up at the green table and the result gets nixed I just might be done with F1 for a while.

Vettel’s radio went “one-way” (he could hear the team but they couldn’t hear him) before the second stop.

First stop, RB just covered what Ferrari did - and the hard tires were said to be actually better under the damp conditions.

Second stop, when Vettel came in for the inters, the team was clearly not ready for him, i.e. that was Vettel’s own decision. Stop took, what, 15-20 secs? They had to drag the tires out still their warming blankets!

That’s the way I recall things right now. Will watch the race again in hi-rez (watched the live feed streaming at comparatively low rez) when the d/l finishes...
