If you break into my home, I don’t see how my method of killing you is the states business. If he had only been armed with a butter knife what was he suppose to do, stap them in the ankle only?

But to place a kill shot under chin through the head to a young 100 pound girl.... That’s going to far...

I've seen this "100 pound girl" thing stated a few times on this thread, so let me ask you, what is the moral difference between this guy performing a kill shot on a 100 pound girl vs. a 200 pound girl vs. a 200 pound man? Are they not all human beings? Why should we have greater sympathy for a 100 pound female criminal vs a male criminal? Especially in the age of feminism and "equality"?

Here's my opinion: the bitch shouldn't have broken into the man's home. She got what she deserved.

Which is exactly what happened in the Briney Trapgun case. A farmer in rural SE Iowa had an unoccupied home on his property that had been broken into several times.
He set a shotgun to go off when the front door was kicked in. It was and the gun went off, injuring the burglar. Burglar sued and won the farm and the unoccupied house.

If he and his lawyer are smart he can say that when he moved her she threatened him. You know like “I’m going to kill you old man!” That would get a not guilty from me.

Some times bad behaviour catches up to people and they get Trayvon’ed.

I wouldn't use the word "Trayvoned" to describe it. It demeans what Zimmerman did.

Zimmerman was being assaulted. He had no other choice. His life hung in the balance. He then only shot Trayvon once to neutralize the threat. He didn't then get up and pump more bullets into him but reached for his phone to call the police.

This guy did none of that. He neutralized the threat and then while they lay there helpless he with deliberation murdered them.

His only mistake was talking too much.

“I was in fear for my life”. Period end of story. Hire an attorney and keep your mouth shut.

I remember that one from my self defense course I took years ago.....STFU!

Those questions did not have to be answered

Yeh but he was just dying to answer them, particularly the question on why he didn't call the police after he shot them.

Smith said he then pulled out a .22-caliber revolver he was wearing and shot Kifer several times in the chest. He fired a final shot under her chin because she was still gasping for air a few minutes later, he said.

Blew her head off with a .22?

Because were all God’s children and it’s not up to us to kill kids? Lots of kids do really stupid stuff ...I know I did. A break in? Hold them till the cops show up...shoot them in the leg...
Shooting a girl in the head when she was already bleeding out is cool to some on this thread? Really? A girl?

Tough guys I’m impressed/sarc

Yes. Actually, the law is pretty clear on this matter. You can use lethal force to stop a threat. What you can't do is execute people regardless of whether or not one believes they deserved to be removed from the gene pool.

I guess the lesson I take from this, is that instead of reaching for a small caliber handgun, grab the 12 gau. with 00 buckshot and just remove their heads. I guess that would be preferable, in the eyes of the law.

Read TO KILL AND KILL AGAIN. Old Wayne Nance was a serial killer. One of his intended victims did him in when Wayne broke into the home. It reads like a script for a horror movie. Wayne kept coming.

So law-abiding citizens are only limited to one bullet per criminal?

No, I think it goes something like this: If I shoot them with say a 2 3/4" 00 buck, that's 12 rounds I think, all at once. That's okay. But putting multiple rounds in individually, is bad. Especially if done slowly over time. That's bad.

His problem was not that he shot the burglars, or that he finished them off. Even keeping their bodies for a day could have been generally excused with a smooth tongued good lawyer.

His problem was that he then shot off his mouth about it to the police. If he is going to prison it is because he lacked “mouth control”.

Imagine you see two armed robbers exiting a bank with guns and bags of cash. You have a gun and shoot them both. When the police arrive, you are like a bouncy little puppy and tell them that “I gunned down a couple of n******! That’ll teach those b**** b******* that this is a w**** people’s town! Heil Hitler!”

What mistake have you made? If it is not clear to you, then you are not very bright. Everything you did up to the point of shooting your mouth off was a-o.k. Then you totally fouled up in an awful way.

Sounds like he talked too much. You know when questioned they’re going to ask you tricky little things to trip you up and make a case against you. Just say “My life was threatened and I reacted and acted until I no longer felt threatened”. Then ask for your lawyer.

He did himself no favors there, but the evidence of an execution-style shot would've sunk him even if he'd kept quiet.

He should have buried the bodies and kept his mouth shut.

He never contacted the police, so it seems that his plan was to conceal the murders.

Of course, it's hard to carry two bodies upstairs from your basement, and hard to dig a grave in a Minnesota winter. It's also hard to dig a grave on your property when you have neighbors. It's hard as well to get rid of a red Mitsubishi without anyone noticing it either.

Your advice, immoral as it is, is also extremely impractical.
