I'm going to take a guess. Obama offered Romney a chance to work for HIM as "Business Czar".

Romney told Obama to SIUHA.

nothing..not going be another “My dinner with Andre”.. far from it.

Obama most likely said, “look Mitt, this is all for appearances, enjoy your chicken salad, I’ve got to step out of the room now, ta-ta..”

and Mitt can say nothing, because it makes him look like whiner, so he’ll just suck it up, and tell his wife and friends about his “lunch with Obama”..

I’m not joking, I’m 100% sure about this.. Remember Netanyahu’s lunch , or was it dinner, with Obama, when Obama left the room leaving B Netanyahu in the lurch?

Interesting... the same approach Obama used when "tending to the needs" of Hurricane Sandy victims.

I’m thinking Barry brought a portable TV to the dining table and kept up with ESPN through the hour.

My guess is that the current tax collector, ‘Sheriff of Nottingham’ Timmy Gee, wants to wup up on more NYC Banks by becoming a CEO of one of those banks.

That would leave his Sec. of the US Treasury post open for a RINO to take the cheap, verbal abuse that will follow as Obama pushes the Treasury Department over his brainchild, THE OBAMA FISCAL CLIFF.

Romney will be offered the job, gladly take it, and then be politically blamed by Obama and MSNBC for all matters involving dollars.

In this way Romney will become the go-to blame guy, replacing Bush, and allowing Benghazi-Coward Obama to continue to add onto his $20,000,000 retirement home in Hawaii.

Thus, it will be lose-lose for America AND Romney, just like this last election - - - .

FORWARD !

My prediction for the future: Mitt Romney hasn't given up on his dream to be President. He's going to try to pull a Reagan '76 turnaround. Reagan lost the nomination in '76 to Ford, Ford got spanked by Carter and then Carter was an incompetent fool. Reagan was there to swoop in and save the day.

Romney will try to follow that script. He will spend the next four years trying to make us all feel like we made a huge mistake. He'll try to make himself look like a regular guy like he did with his Thanksgiving photo and today with his drop in at McDonalds. And he'll offer harsh criticism of Obama, basically point to how far we've fallen since he was elected and paint a rosy picture of what would have happened had he won.

Sarah Palin has done a great job keeping herself relevant with this sort of campaign, though her own political future as a candidate is very much in doubt. She seems content to be a "kingmaker" behind the scenes on candidate at a time. I suspect Mitt's "I told you so" campaign will be aimed at running again. Crazy, I know. But he still has the money to run and the desire I think.

Maybe nobama thanked him for running a half-assed campaign, thanked him for the nobamacare model in Mass and bowed to him before leaving early?

Clean desk = No work.

Romney should've turned down this poser's lunch/photo op invitation. Danged if he would've, danged if he wouldn't of.

That has got to be one of the saddest pictures I have ever seen.

You've got that right. On the left stands a man who has made a career out of fixing businesses on the verge of bankruptcy. On the right stands a man who spent twelve years working for the University of Chicago without once being offered an associate professor position. On the left stands a man who has the experience to fix the problem and avert the fiscal disaster we now face. On the right stands the man who caused the disaster.

Seven weeks from now, the man on the right will begin another four year term to complete the destruction he began in 2009. And for the next four years, the man on the right will be receiving the blame for it.

A clean desk is the sign of a sick mind (and of no work being done).

I would have accepted the Lunch invitation and then canceled it at the very last minute after something "unexpected" came up.

Yours is a good post.

Unfortunately there are a lot of angry, depressed freepers who want to continue to trash Romney. They wouldn’t vote for him so now we’re all stuck with a socialist who supports 3rd trimester abortions and who is destroying our country. That’s our sad reality.
