Vanity: Syria loading chemicals weapons. Biblical Prophecy?
Foxnews

Posted on 12/05/2012 7:00:45 PM PST by ConservativeMan55

According to a report the Syrian Army has loaded chemical weapons and is waiting on orders to use them.

If Syria uses these weapons there is NO telling what could happen. The weather could cause MANY complications.

Such as Isaiah 17.

17 A prophecy against Damascus:

“See, Damascus will no longer be a city

but will become a heap of ruins.

2 The cities of Aroer will be deserted

and left to flocks, which will lie down,

with no one to make them afraid.

3 The fortified city will disappear from Ephraim,

and royal power from Damascus;

the remnant of Aram will be like the glory of the Israelites,”

declares the Lord Almighty.

4 “In that day the glory of Jacob will fade;

the fat of his body will waste away.

5 It will be as when reapers harvest the standing grain,

gathering the grain in their arms—

as when someone gleans heads of grain

in the Valley of Rephaim.

6 Yet some gleanings will remain,

as when an olive tree is beaten,

leaving two or three olives on the topmost branches,

four or five on the fruitful boughs,”

declares the Lord, the God of Israel.

7 In that day people will look to their Maker

and turn their eyes to the Holy One of Israel.

8 They will not look to the altars,

the work of their hands,

and they will have no regard for the Asherah poles[a]

and the incense altars their fingers have made.
9 In that day their strong cities, which they left because of the Israelites, will be like places abandoned to thickets and undergrowth. And all will be desolation.

10 You have forgotten God your Savior; you have not remembered the Rock, your fortress.

Therefore, though you set out the finest plants and plant imported vines,

11 though on the day you set them out, you make them grow,
and on the morning when you plant them, you bring them to bud,
yet the harvest will be as nothing
in the day of disease and incurable pain.

12 Woe to the many nations that rage—
they rage like the raging sea!

Woe to the peoples who roar—
they roar like the roaring of great waters!

13 Although the peoples roar like the roar of surging waters,
when he rebukes them they flee far away,
driven before the wind like chaff on the hills,
like tumbleweed before a gale.

14 In the evening, sudden terror!
Before the morning, they are gone!
This is the portion of those who loot us,
the lot of those who plunder us.

The fortified city will disappear from Ephraim<<<

The Pentagon is the world’s largest office building by floor area, with about 6,500,000 sq ft (600,000 m2), of which 3,700,000 sq ft (340,000 m2) are used as offices.[2][3] Approximately 28,000 military and civilian employees[3] and about 3,000 non-defense support personnel work in the Pentagon. It has five sides, five floors above ground, two basement levels, and five ring corridors per floor with a total of 17.5 mi (28.2 km)[3] of corridors. The Pentagon includes a five-acre (20,000 m2) central plaza, which is shaped like a pentagon and informally known as “ground zero”, a nickname originating during the Cold War and based on the presumption that the Soviet Union would target one or more nuclear missiles at this central location in the outbreak of a nuclear war.[4]

And many times I’ve heard it described as a city.

And the name Ephraim means double ash-heap and also double fruitfulness (bustling commerce/trade is the fruitfulness of a nation).

Thanks. I didn’t know it could contaminate water as well.....and seep into other ways. Very informative.

Saul Saul why persecutest thou me?

I just realized Paul must have been traveling toward Israel when he was on the road to Damascus since he was from Tarsus.

Or was he traveling from Israel?

“Damascus has been a total wreck before, and it will be in the future...”

No, the Bible says Damascus will never be inhabited again when this happens. I had thought through the years, it would be nuclear that would prevent living there forever, but maybe chemicals could do the same thing.

USA COMMUNIST FALSE FLAG INITIATIVE TO INSTALL ISLAMIST REGIME IN SYRIA. THERE ARE NO SARIN GAS BOMBS,

THIS IS PURE PROPAGANDA TO ENABLE OVERT UNAUTHORIZED US MILITARY FORCES TO ATTACK SYRIA WITH NO CONSULTATION OF CONGRESS.

OBJECTIVE, OVERTHROW THUG ASSAD, INSTALL ISLAMIST REGIME WITH AL QUEDA FIGHTERS FUNDED BY USA THROUGH ARMS SHIPPED VIA QATAR.

OUTRAGE OF THE DAY. I HATE THIS OBAMA LYING COMMUNIST TYRANNICAL REGIME. THIS WILL MAKE BENGHAZI LOOK LIKE A TEDDY BEARS PICNIC.

If they go chemical on Israel, they are signing their own death warrants. Chemical weapons are only good for two things. The first is area denial on a battlefield. The second is making your enemy really mad, which defeats the purpose.

Damascus is an ancient city — 7000 years of continuous habitation. And it has been destroyed before.

just their dumb luck to be on one of those crossroads of the world.

well, the crossroads are normally the best place to be from a wealth perspective, so Damascus etc were the place to be -- as was Israel in the era between Egypt and Mesopotamia

The "rebels" are the baddest from a West/Israel point of view. Its better for Assad to "win" - he will have to keep watching his back for a long time after this

Also note that this conflict has driven a wedge between Hamas (Sunni) and Hizbullah (Shia) and will exacerbate the Sunni-Shia rift

When Assad wins it will cement this.

well, truly speaking Alawis, at least by the beliefs that we know of, are not Moslems, but an esoteric mix of Islam, Christianity and some gnosticism

All other Islamic groups (Sunnis, Shias and Ibadis as well as Ismailis, Boris etc) consider them heretics.
