Impossible. Unsupported speculation based on no evidence. Are you a geologist?

Dude really I am trying to help you out with your theory. IF you choose not to take the time to simply google the truth then well...that’s your problem not mine but trust me I would not post something that was not true or skeptical without tagging it as such.

the Ambassador appt. to Norway for this venture would be essential.

Ha! Forgit that, once they've discovered you've been posting on FR! lol

They have remained relatively constant.

I noticed that.

I took a look closer at your slides. As I said, there is good work here but much you need to run past someone familiar with astrophysics (i.e., your ideas on the asteroid belt formation, lunar/earth cycles resulting from a simultaneous impact on earth need more thought - not to say earth day couldn't have been somewhat affected in some way by the impacts evidence you point to.).

IMO, don't rule out plate tectonics as part of the answer. It would be nice if your theory addressed the contributing effects of other impacts in earth's history. Also, you should consider what may be causing rhythmic ice age cycles/CO2 spikes every 100K years or so. As the gipper pointed out, mountain formation occuring at different epochs needs accounting for.

Certainly you've pointed to a number of interesting facts/clues that need serious considerations!

Thanks for sharing!!

Truth?! To a geologist?! Please.

Do us all a favor and tag your claims of truth with citations to the body of geologic literature that leads you to believe as you do. Use Google if you must. Regardless, the body of geologic literature rests upon very bad conclusions that are based on incomplete information. So you help no one by passing along speculation based on 60 years of bad science. You compound the problem by claiming such things are irrefutable.

That's what led to my speculation that you are a ‘trained ‘ geologist. I apologize if I am wrong.

I have spoken with astrophycists. Not much help as no one had considered this work before.

I speculate that asymmetries in the impacts energies and directions induced the periodicities found in Milankovitch cycles. No one is sure whether or not they cause the glacial periods.

Regarding the plates - the simultaneous impacts created the plates! They are not drifting; rather, they shift and settle as forces act upon them.

Regarding other impacts on the Earth: there is another event described at the following link, and in my estimation it’s the more fascinating of the two events (though, arguably, explaining the planet’s tilt is really nice): http://www.threeimpacts-twoevents.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/COMET-IMPACT14.pdf

Bottom line: most of human history is buried under more than two miles of water. [Obviously, this holds for Earth history - geologists don’t even realize yet that they are working with a reduced sample space.]

Thanks KoRn. Years ago in "Strange" magazine, Vincent Gaddes wrote a very nice two-parter about vanished islands, some of which apparently existed at one time. My favorite one was a small archipelego (mostly just one island) some hundreds of miles due west from Panama where there simply isn't any land now. But in the context of this article, in the sub-Antarctic waters but of the Indian Ocean, a fishing vessel went ashore on an island that wasn't on their charts and butchered out some whales or something, then went back to sea. They charted the island and no one has seen it since. That's just creepy, because it may have been a big berg that ran aground (it was icy, but had some soil sticking out and that kind of thing), or it may have been a small volcanic island that had a short-lived existence.

That and I’ve reported myself to “Attack Watch!”. I still get dibs on a beach-location-reeducation-camp.

Just reading through the whole thread, I think Blam in post #27 has the edge on Ambassador to Norway............Just saying :)
