Diana Mneimneh and Wael Tamim welcomed their baby boy on Wednesday, born at a special time
Baby Rami's parents will have no trouble remembering his birthday: His first cries were heard at 12:12 p.m. on 12-12-12.
"At 11:45, I just felt like it's time,” said Diana Mneimneh, his proud mother recalling the moments before giving birth Wednesday at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale. “So I said, 'Call the doctor. It’s time.'”
Rami's father, Wael Tamim, is a cardiac surgeon at Holy Cross, too. He was lucky enough to have been present for the birth.
"It’s just unbelievable that we came in and she started pushing less than half an hour before 12:12,” Tamim said. “And it happened. It was an act of God.”
Baby Rami was in good company on Wednesday. Three other babies shared the 12-12-12 birth date, but none of the other babies was born at 12:12 p.m. like Rami.
Across the country, some parents requested C-sections so that their children would be born on 12-12-12. But Rami was born naturally. In fact, he wasn't due for another week.
Such numbers didn't hold an important meaning for Mneimneh’s family until Wednesday.
"I never expected this,” he said. “It’s a beautiful coincidence."

hmm, so the father works at the same hospital and is a colleague of the delivery doc. what a coincidence!
