Well, we’ve been hearing for the last 4 years....”NEVER LET A CRISIS GO TO WASTE”....

It IS their agenda, to be sure.

The Demorats did not like the mentally ill in hospitals so they are free to roam the streets.

More productive thoughts in this one thread than Obama’s entire first 4 years.

Absurd, in my opinion. The first sign is a reminder of a law, in this case mostly aimed at students who might bring a gun to school.

I doubt the thought of an armed staff would deter crazies like this guy. They tend to plan on going out in a blaze of fire anyway. And most of them end up doing just that. An armed staff could have saved some lives today, but not all of them.

I’m not against arming more citizens. But to say it’s going to PREVENT tragedies is just not true, unless we put armed guards at checkpoints and perhaps snipers around the playground.

Interesting read here...

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2967141/posts

The key line in the article... “With 14 incidents stopped by police with a total of 200 dead that’s an average of about 14.3. With 15 incidents stopped by civilians and 35 dead that’s an average of 2.3.”

And not all the incidents stopped by civilians included firearms.

The sign in front of every school should be......over 50% of the teachers have guns in this school...

From the reports so far, the principle was murdered while making the morning announcements. The whole school heard. Armed staff would have had plenty of time to be ready. It will be interesting to learn what happened after that point. From what I know of school plans, the teachers probably locked their doors and kept the kids in the killing zones.

I have always been a proponent of getting them out of the killing zones.

I wish I could agree with your sentiment... I have met killers, rapists and a big time drug dealer in my time. The truth is, they seemed quite sane and rational. There was no indication that they were dangerous.

I have always been bothered by the fact that otherwise normal people somehow crack and lose whatever glue holds them together. Sure, in some cases these guys are truly broken but in other cases I’m equally sure that there are a whole lot of people holding on by a thread that don’t even know it.

Our America is falling apart: Things like this will get worse before they get better.

The first one doesn’t work? We need better reading teachers, and then the sign will work.

Exactly - instead of banning guns in schools, they ought to INSIST that a percentage of the Staff is properly trained and armed.
