well, we said he would go after guns in his second term and it appears it will be his highest priority. They aren't listening to reason. The people who should be fighting this aren't. it's time to get busy gun owners. We need to make it clear that any politician who supports this BS will be fired in 2014.

It will be carefully focused on the most dangerous guns that have killed so many people over the years.she must mean cheap handguns because that is what has killed the vast majority of people over the years. assault rifles, by contrast, have killed less than 1% of all the people killed with firearms since 1992.

WTF?
The story claims the ownership, sale or transfer of rifles with detachable magazines would be prohibited, but current owners of “assault rifles” would be able to keep or sell them.
Which is it?

In addition, the Feinstein bill probably would ban the ownership, transfer, or manufacture of any rifle that is capable of accepting a detachable magazine...
Soooo... Tell me how are they going to do this without having a National Firearms Database?
I think Rocco and his magic car trunk are going to be doing a booming business in un-recorded firearm transactions. Let alone ammunition sales.

I read about a professor Jim Al-Khalili who was investigating the universe looking to find that.. er, whatever.. that is simultaneously nothing and everything.
He can stop looking. We got it here.
The assault weapon.
There is no such thing available to the general public.. but if you are a Rat it is everything firearm.

The only problem with this is that there is no will in either House of Congress for gun control. The public does not want it and they all know it.
Diane Feinstein has introduced this type of legislation 3-4 times previously. It will get stuck in committee indefinitely.
