Two gang members who stabbed an 18-year-old man to death outside a party in Caldwell in April will spend at least 10 years in prison.
Miguel Angel Talavera, 19, and Bobby Zepeda, 18, were sentenced Monday by 3rd District Judge Molly Huskey to 25 years in prison with eligibility for parole after 10 years. The men had pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for the April 28 stabbing death of Victor Garcia.
According to police, Talavera and Zepeda confronted the victim in the Indian Creek subdivision and chased him for several blocks before stabbing him to death.
Canyon County Prosecutor Bryan Taylor called the murder "senseless" in a prepared statement issued Monday.
"Gang violence will not be tolerated in our community," the statement said.

It seems that in the States that permit the judges to assess the sentencing the convicted get very lenient sentences.
In Texas, the jury that decides the guilt also decides the sentence. ...These two dirtbags might be on death row in Texas.
Why do you care if they kill each other off?
