Caught on video. Bird of prey tries to snatch toddler. Bird gets in the air for a little bit with child but releases. I guess this is real. Looks it to me. Bad enough to happen to a pet, but holy cow, what if it got higher in the air and released or didn't release! Wow.

"However, I'm more inclined to believe it was all staged by a falconer, his buddy and a lure made to look like a baby........" You can see the little kid raise his arms after the Eagle drops him. I see nothing to indicate this is staged.

Golden eagles certainly are "bad" dudes. There's even recent evidence that they sometimes attack and kill adult pronghorn by relentlessly shredding their backs and napes. But when they're soaring, they're sure beautiful to watch.
