With President Barack Obama endorsing sweeping gun restrictions in the wake of the school shootings in Newtown, Connecticut, prices for handgun magazines are surging on EBay and semi-automatic rifles are sold out at many Wal-Mart Stores Inc. locations.
Wal-Mart, the worlds largest retailer, said yesterday that it would continue to sell guns, including rifles like the one used at Newtown, where 26 people, most of them children, were killed on Dec. 14. By contrast, Dicks Sporting Goods Inc. suspended sales of similar guns at its more than 500 stores.
Searches of five kinds of semi-automatic rifles on Wal- Marts website showed them to be out of stock at stores in five states, including Pennsylvania, Kansas and Alabama. Wal-Mart doesnt sell guns online, instead asking customers to input a zip code to see if their local store carries a specific weapon.
We remain dedicated to the safe and responsible sale of firearms in areas of the country where they are sold, David Tovar, a spokesman for Wal-Mart, said Tuesday.

for the midyear election we need to start tracking the senators and house votes and what people said on this issue.
We also have to watch out for opportunists who will move to the front of the parade to avoid a primary challenge.
I am still kicking myself for passing up a pristine VZ 24 still wrapped in the armorers paper with all the accessories.
$200
Those were the days.
I was at Dunham’s Sports today, and they had lots of AR rifles on display, and on sale.
Are you crazy! Those things use CLIPS!!
I keep hearing Tom Gresham say that, but I've shopped for Crimson Trace laser grips, and bought Pierce magazine floorplate extensions for Glock magazines, and an UpLULA magazine loader from eBay sellers.
Years ago I had a transaction blocked on Ebay
It was just old G3 stocks, slings, pistol grips, recoil buffers and leather slings.
gotta keep them tater chips fresh
I found four but the only 20 rounders that I could find that were Springfield Armory were from Springfield Armory.
Were not as bad as I expected they were going to be, $54 a piece.

"Bushmaster optics-ready carbine $779.99"
It appears that Dunham's did pull a "Cheaper Than Dirt" and removed all AR and AK style rifles from their website. But I was in the store today and they were in the display cases.
According to the commie libs, an aircraft carrier and a B-52 are going to pull up in front of your house to pick up your guns. LOL!
No Dunham’s here
Got 20’s for $29.99 each at Brownells
How many firearms even use clips these days?
I consider myself a gun guy but can only think of the Garande and Springfield.
Massacre mags? I like that.
I ordered day after and got my mags today, at a discounted price!

Old Skool Crazy.
The original 'assault rifle'
Those are some crazy looking clips.
Cool.
I wanted to reach through the computer and tell Mark Levin to quit talking yesterday after he had John Lott on his show (great guy and gun advocate). After the interview, Levin was talking about the Lib BS concerning capacity. Telling the audience that he is now a gun owner - 38 - 357 - rifle and that he was proficient with the use of these weapons, he started talking about how many bullets a “CARTRIDGE” could hold, saying some “CARTRIDGES” hold more bullets than other “CARTRIDGES” AND ON AND ON. I was trying to send a mental message to Mr. Call Screener or Mr. Producer to jot on a piece of paper for Mark to see that it was “MAGAZINES”. Although incorrect in the context of what he was trying to explain, even CLIPS would have been more palatable than cartridges. Love the guy, but if he is going to stand up for our gun rights, he needs to review the basics so as not to get blasted by the few on the LEFT that would even know the difference themselves.
