Avoid buying a Taurus. they have some of the highest return rates for problems of any manufacturer, according to one of our better gun shops in the area.

Glock, Smith and Wesson, Springfield, Ruger, are all better choices.

I have the S&W MP 9mm Pro...it is an incredible gun. And 9mm is one of the cheapest calibers to shoot.

Around 1988 I bought a Ruger Mark I Bull Barrel. It was heavily rusted and I mean really almost solid rust.

My Dealer sent it back to Ruger to be refinished. The charge was $25. When it came back it had a new box, with papers and looked just like a new one with one exception. There was one place on the barrel where they had to grind it down a bit to get all the rust off. It was not noticeable but if you looked it was there.

Still for $25 it probably tripled the value of the gun.
