Face it, there are some very prominent Jews running (way, way) out front for gun control.
If the media continues to promote the agenda, then other Jews need to stand up forcefully and loudly to your brothers and sisters and present a public face which is ... shall we say more mainstream American.
I feel awkward about posting this, but it seems so very obvious.
I guess these Jews and many like them forgot about that guy named Hitler.
A fair number of Jewish academics thought Hitler had some great progressive ideas too. In the beginning anyway.
Face it, there are some very prominent Christians standing up for gun control; joe biden, Catholic Church firmly, quietly opposes firearms for civilians:

While I agree with you, there is the NRA right now taking an opposing stand.

There is no doubt, some see this as anti-Jewish. I am not anti-Jewish. I can oppose Jews on some issues, but by and large I am very pro-Jew.
This however is a big one, and it is one in which there seems to be a very clear agenda at work.
Hollywood is currently on a more than one week now, non-stop tirade against guns.
Hollywood is without a doubt, profoundly driven by Jewish voices.
America can do well with Jewish leadership. But not this kind.
That is my point. I wish more Jews would stand up publicly against the overwhelming anti-gun views some take.

You are corect that, of all peoples, the Jews should have learned something by now from their history....
but ... half of them haven’t.
It is a serious problem in the Jewish community that a large number of self-identified “Jews” want to remain defenseless, helpless, and, quite frankly, persecuted (which is what happens 80 percent of the time to defenseless, helpless people in history).
HOWEVER, having said that, it is not just a Jewish problem. You see the very, very same thing with countless “Christian” and “Jewish” people, in politics ESPECIALLY... Obama (well, I do realize he’s about as “Christian” as Stalin or Hitler or Mao were, but anyway he claims some affiliation)... Biden, Pelosi, Kerry, Clinton, Durbin, Shiela Jackson Lee, Conyers, Lofgren, Jim Moran, Carolyn McCarthy, Mike Castle, Diane DeGette, Mike DeWine, and many many many more. I don’t think very many of these politicans are Jewish, rather they are all, or almost all, self-identified Catholics or Protestants.
So, it is fair to criticize some of the Jewish politicians, so long as we keep in mind that the very SAME stupidity exists, the same problem is rampant with so very many Christian politicians, too.
Put simply, we have a whole bunch of people who either never were taught American (or European) history, or else were too busy when they went to school putting condoms on pickles (or shooting up in the bathroom) to learn anything.

However, as a southerner (my g-g-g grandfather was in the 29th virginia infantry regiment and surrendered with REL at appomattox) that could be the difference. Most Jews I know in the South and West are pro-gun. The issue lies mostly in California and NYC. Israelis certainly believe in the g-d given right to self-defense. Basically.... people from California and NYC are assholes... that’s the root of it... some happen to be Jewish.
