That pup is serious about staying on the bed. She should just get in with him and go to sleep.
Not cute to me. The dog is out of control and needs serious training. He runs the house...not the human.
That’s a funny video of a dog that doesn’t mind very well.
It’s funnier at my house as my labradoodle, Sophie was right on it—barking and sounding like she wanted to tear the mastiff to shreds.
Sophie weighs about 14 pounds...........
That is way to much dog for that girl to handle.
He knows she is not the boss . I love Mastiffs and none of mine would have dared climb on my bed or any furniture in my house more than once .
She should buy herself a cot and let him have the bed.
I would guess that is the “Lincoln bedroom”.
Not cute at all. She reminds me of those mothers with a bad three year old I avoid when I’m in line at a checkout while shopping. When they start counting to 10 for the fourth time I want to scream.
I kept thinking the dog was looking at the cat. Maybe he is scared of it.
They are adamant that the master/alpha's sleeping area (i.e. bed) is reserved exclusively for the alpha. I'll occasionally call my dog to hop up on here (especially on cold nights), but he won't come without permission, and is normally reluctant to stay for any length of time. He knows that if he ever challenged me for it, he'd catch hell.
This lady is basically training her dog to defy her.

Uh...yeah, the problem is the confusing training:
She’s rewarding disobediance.
There is no way I would put my face that close to a growling dog. He needs some serious training.......or she does.
Both of my sons have English mastiffs. One is loveable and very well-trained. The other is a seriously scary dude and I won’t get near him. The dogs are brothers. It’s just a matter of training.
Yup.
*Once* when Odin was about a year old, I wanted him to move over so I could stretch my legs.
He growled.
So he was unceremoniously tossed off the couch and we had an intense 15 minute obedience refresher in the living room.
He was then sent to the dog sofa for a half hour time out.
Almost 2 1/2 years later, all I have to do is say Bubby, move, very quietly and does.
It’s my damn couch and his *privilege* is to be on it with me.
He’s got to assume that in all things.
I don’t care what kind of wonderful fun or delicious food or toy he’s got in his mouth, if I say give it up, he does.
He knows its “mine”, really.
That mess with the Mastiff is not going to end well for either of them.
Never get more dog than you can handle.
There is one well trained bitch in the video, but she isn’t wearing a collar.
After the first couple training lessons, a dog should never receive a command more than once.
Command, correct.
No nagging, no pleading, no repeating.
Dogs are smart and they learn fast that you ‘don’t really mean it”.
That woman horrifies me.
People like her are why good dogs get put down.
Not cute at all. This girl has no control and the dog knows it. The nipping and biting...whoa...not cute.
Walk in, attach leash.
Give "OFF" command at the same time the dog is pulled off of the bed using the leash.
Reward the dog for obeying your command.
Lather, rinse, repeat.
