I agree with you! I bit of long the, but who can complain about a movie which has lines like:
Gandalf: "And I hope you never have to. But if you do, remember this: true courage is about knowing not when to take a life, but when to spare one."
Gandalf: "Saruman believes it is only great power that can hold evil in check, but that is not what I have found. I found it is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay... small acts of kindness and love. Why Bilbo Baggins? That's because I am afraid and it gives me courage."
Bilbo Baggins: "I know you doubt me. I know you always have. I often think of Bag End. That's where I belong. That's home. You don't have one. It was taken from you, but I will help you get it back if I can.
When compared with the garbage being turned out in 'HollyWeird' these days such lines are shall I say 'precious'! Each of these lines and more I repeated to my six grandchildren as we discussed the the movie afterward. How many movies now days contain such moral bits of wisdom these days?

true courage is about knowing not when to take a life, but when to spare one.Lose me on that one. Such action may be a virtue, but it's mercy or pity, not courage.

Great lines. We did comment discuss, think about, the Gandalf line about the little things holding back evil.
