Gerry Anderson's "Thunderbirds" was one of my favorite shows as a kid. And before that, his "Supercar" (with Mike Mercury).

Hi, all:
Very saddened by Mr. Anderson’s passing. His ‘Supercar’, ‘Fireball XL-5’ and ‘Stingray’ were a pleasant dessert after Saturday morning cartoons.
And his work on ‘Project: UFO’ and model work in ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’and ‘Space:1999’ were also quite cool.
Always admired Mr. Anderson’s ability to use common kitchen and household appliances and objects and work them in as parts of his exceptional, often overblown sets.
The world will be less colorful and clever.
RIP, Jerry. You did good.

Rest in peace, Gerry Anderson. Thanks for the memories.
I used to watch this show all the time when I was a kid and I think it's one of the reasons I always liked puppets and marionettes. I even tried to reproduce the special effects one time and ended up melting one of my toy spaceships.

I remember watching this in my youth!
I remember some sort of control center or something (very plush walls) located inside a tanker truck.
I thought that was the coolest thing at the time.
