One of mine is obsessed with foam-rubber earplugs. Maybe he wants to go to the range.

I’m sorry, Gunner! Next time I send you too many bags of Temptations, hide some of them so that Malcolm doesn’t know you have more.

Nah. He’s too smart to fall for that. Sorrrreeee!

And I really have to check my pings more often.

She makes sure she’s in a photo-ready pose before falling asleep.

Cats are like snowflakes. No two cats are alike.

I’ve been blessed by two. One at the rainbow bridge, one in my life currently. Each are 180 degrees in purrsonality from each other. What they have in common is this one fact. They were both rescues, given away by their previous owners and I saved them, even if they were at no kill shelters- they were considered un-adoptable and had gone through several owners before they settled down with me. Both kitties are very protective of me. Both have been my best friend, Both taught me what pure friendship is, and how to heal my heart when it was broken.

I’m convinced that cats are miracles in fur. I’m also convinced my heart and soul have been replaced by kittehs as well.

Cat’s eyes have difficulty seeing objects that are motionless. She might be doing that because she can’t see the surface and is afraid she’ll accidentally dunk herself.

Interesting. I didn't know that. That explains why my cat is fascinated by moving water, but pays little attention to it if it's not moving.

My furbabies seem to need a water bowl in almost every room of the house. Except for Apple. She prefers to drink from the toilet, usually right after it’s been flushed.

When we first brought Apple home from the shelter, we bought her a few toys. The usual stuff - balls with jingle bells in them, mice. She quickly got bored with them and started stealing pens and binder clips off my wife’s desk.

Monkey, who was born in our house, learned the joy of killing plastic bags at a very early age (about 5-6 weeks as I recall) and will play with almost anything that isn’t nailed down.

Patch (Monkey’s mother) doesn’t really play much but every so often she’ll present us with a toy mouse as if she had just killed it. We can tell when she’s about to do this, as she lets out a few distinct meows; they probably have that distinct sound because she’s meowing with a stuffed toy in her mouth.

Hi musicman! How nice to see you.

Thanks for the starter kit. They’ll fit right in with my three basement cats. I love the selection you have there.

Patchwork kitties are the best!
So are big yellow cats!
And tuxedo cats can’t be beat!
Only one Maine Coon? That’s okay. They have a lot of presence, even only one of them!

Excellent choices!
