Are You Going To Remain A Republican? (Vanity)

Are You Going To Remain A Republican in light of today's gutless actions by both the Senate and House? This was the last straw for me; I'm done! I will be switching my party affiliation tomorrow.

Nah, I won’t switch. My representative (Roscoe Bartlett) voted against the abortion. There are still some GOP with integrity.

Anybody in Ohio know a good primary opponent for Boehner?

Yes, but it’s easier to have a hissy fit and abandon the party altogether because of the dinosaurs.

I'll contribute directly to individual conservative candidates, but not one dime to the RNC to distribute to RINOs.

That's how I do it. It's great to have a clean conscience.

[ Looking at the Libertarian Party, which is taken as a joke, or the Constitutional Party, which has even worse performance than the Green Party even, makes me wonder. ]

In the past a third party was quite silly when the republican was “viable”...
Things have changed..

If a third party or even a caucus of “third parties” is possible, it is Now....
If even a third party viable.... it is now..

Maybe several third partys based on “issues”..
One party would be great but probably won’t happen..
Not all the abortion, gun and small givernment people agree..
But they can form a caucus.. even with the Libertarians..

Actually several third partys might be best in the beginning.. to increase demographic blocks..
As those parties mature they may merge..
Like the Tea Party which is no party..

Bottom line is republicans are leaving like lemmings..
With nowhere to go.. except some nebulous Independent Identification..

Someone should call a “meeting” of minds somewhere..
Conservatives are cats, democrats and Rinos are dogs..
Might take several parties to herd them cats..
With somewhere “to go” more republicans may “leave”.. and a few democrats as well..

Note: the republican party is dead as a floater in a latrine..

An ‘association’ of third-parties actually could work. I believe the Israel ‘Knesset’ and Italian ‘Parlamento’ generally have coalitions of aligned political parties. That could work.

They know a 3rd party would weaken the Republicans even more

Really? Boehner already needs to change his name to Flaccid B@$T@RD! How much more weak can they get?

No,I am going to Join the winning Party,Like Whitaker Chambers,The democrats are Clearly Running the show, better get on Board the Busses to the Gulags are Warming up!
The democrats are Obviously much smarter than the Pathetic Republicans, they cleaned their Clocks,Obama did not even wait an hour to Finish the Job of Cutting their nuts off,you know the Debt ceiling that the Republicans are claiming they will get the Spending Cuts,Obama is going to invoke the 14th amendment that says debt incurred by law, which the Republicans just passed in the House, must be paid for,so Obama says give me the trillions I want or I will do it On my Own. You have to Hand it to The Marxist he has out smarted the Pathetic Pussies. Join the Democrats before its to late.

Switch, its what the MSM and the Liberals want you to do. Its Divide and Conquer. They want a one party system!!!! They know a 3rd party would weaken the Republicans even more, its a win win for them. They want only the 3 branches of Gov’t controlled by them. Think its bad now? WAIT!

Newflash, it is a one party system. Ask the folks who advised romney on how to run against obama. All socialists who tossed the election to obama. GOP-E?!? Apparently they love obama, they keep running losers.

Bob Dole. John McCain. Mitt Romney.

These guys represent you and ran the way you wanted them too or did they simply toss the whole thing to the left?

The GOP is over. Done.

A third party provides a point of resistance, you won't get it within the GOP.

I’m washing my hands of the Repubs - they do not represent me. I’ll also be sending my Senator and Congressman emails telling them so.

“As long as Tea Party members and Freepers are sitting on the sidelines, not getting into the grass roots and getting on their county committees, and then next onto the state committes, we might as well just resign ourselves to life under communism.”

I agree. I just don’t think this can happen being a member of the GOP anymore.

I wish someone would explain to me why the Deep South is solidly GOP. Republicans were the party of reconstruction and carpetbaggers. I would have thought Southerners would create a strong third party rather than support one that put its bootheel to their necks after the War Between the States.

Of course most of the no votes are Republicans. Still, I think you are missing the collusion between the parties that happened here. If you watch the votes, many of the “No” votes waited until after the bill reached the threshold of passage before voting.

When they do that, it tells me that it’s been arranged that the bill will pass, and they are just putting on a charade of resistance. The Republicans most in danger of getting primaried can go home and say “I voted against it”, even though they voted in such a way that couldn’t possibly have impeded the bill’s passage.

Been there done that.....now California is completely run by liberals, not the population the “leaders”.
It is time for a new ground up party.

“Anything else is a Pyrrhic victory, where those leaving will definitely feel good, but would have a) no impact and b) just gave the Dems the perfect gift.”

How is that different from the current state of the Republican Party?

They can’t even beat an Obama who has one of the worst economies in American history and enacts overtly communistic public policies.

In addition, is the Weeper of the House not the ultimate gift to Libs.
