Animal lovers are planning a memorial for the wolves Wisconsin hunters killed this fall.
The memorial is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 11, in front of the state Department of Natural Resources headquarters in Madison, according to organizer Deanna Devaul, a member of the Alliance for Animals.
The proceedings will include candles, bell-ringing and a poem honoring the dead wolves.
The DNR ran the state's first organized wolf hunt this fall. Hunters killed 117 animals statewide.

I imagine it will go something like this.....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G880gxjj9dI
Rick Snyder just signed a bill legalizing a limited wolf hunt in Michigan as well.
This proves the need for more focus on mental health issues.
BTT!
I'm sure that the wolves will be very impressed, and appreciative.

Insanity.
These people are insane.
The reason for the hunt is to control the numbers aof wolves in the area. In other words, it is protect your little Fluffy that you have chained up in your backyard.
These people do not have a clue.
I wonder if any of these people have ever prayed or protested in front of an abortion clinic?
Could I borrow a chainsaw please?
Then I see wolves several times a year.
Shooting 117 is way to low 4 or 5 hundred would have been much better.
Here is my wolf poem.
Ahem.
ODE TO WOLFIE
The wolf realized
That he was in a fix
When I introduced him to
My Thirty Ought Six.

why not take all them PETA folks on a camping trip out there in the rockies. let them sit and fret whilst packs of hungry wolves prowl around, hungry for their flesh...
They should have the memorial service out in the WI woods where an elk call is used to open the festivities. In a few minutes when about 10 of the 150 pounders show up for dinner we will see how it goes. :)
