A hard-working disabled mother with five jobs has been left thousands of pounds a year worse off than she would be if she claimed benefits.
Nina Friday, 45, has been in constant pain ever since she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis as a 16-year-old schoolgirl. However, instead of living on state handouts, the mother-of-two has overcome her physical problems to work six days a week in five different jobs.
Ms. Friday manages to work as a cleaner, a school midday supervisor, a care worker at a nursing home, and as a caretaker at a second school. She even finds time to run a website which helps troubled adults befriend others.
Determined Ms. Friday has refused to add to the 3.2 million people in the UK who currently receive disability benefits, at a cost of £12 billion ($19.3 billion) a year to the country. But despite her strong work ethic, Ms. Friday has been left an incredible £3,600 ($5,792) a year worse off than she would be if she accepted the Governments money.

What is not indicated in the article is the identity or location of the father of Ms. Fridays children, never mind whether said father is alive or dead. (And ATTOW, £300 = $482.64.)Putting others to shame: The disabled mother, 45, who refuses to claim benefits and works FIVE jobs even though she would be £300 better off on the dole
Good for her!
Infidel.
It’s a good thing that she’s not here. If she was, she could go on SS disability (and therefore not unemployed), and five other people could be working and then not be considered unemployed. She’d be a one-woman US economy wrecking crew.
</sarcasm>
but working like a peasant like many of us?...naw....that is so uncool...
Who’s raising her kids for her since she’s not available to them?
Not sure if this lady would go on the dole here in the USA.....in Europe welfare benefits are more lucrative than in USA....well maybe excluding California
