Rand Paul: Building in Jerusalem None Of Our Business
Jerusalem Post ^ | HERB KEINON

It is “none of our business” whether Israel builds new neighborhoods in east Jerusalem or withdraws from the Golan Heights, and the US should not tell Israel how to defend itself, US Sen. (R-Kentucky) said on Saturday night at the end of a week-long visit to the country.

Paul, a maverick libertarian senator known for his advocacy of slashing US foreign aid, said at a press briefing that the issue of cutting aid to Israel – something he advocates as part of a gradual process – did not come up during his meetings with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu or President Shimon Peres.

Paul said that he was not interested in the message of his trip being that he came here “touting and spouting” cutting aid to Israel.

“I came here to show that I am supportive of the relationship between Israel and America,” he said.

Most of the Middle East business isn’t our concern. An exception is when Israel is threatened. Otherwise all of those tribes in mooselimb countries have been warring and they will continue. We should get out and stay out.

none of our business. Time for the USA to mind our own business.

Another exception is when the U.S. is attacked or threatened, e.g. 9/11, embassy attacks. Hence, given the continuing threats against us coming from the Muslim countries of the world, "getting out" simply isn't an option and probably won't be in our lifetimes.

damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

when inter-moose warfare gets to the point of slinging around nukes, the side effects will be enough to give pause.

The “hands off Israel” policy of Rand Paul might come in handy as the EU is getting ready to work with the PA and the UN to force a “peace” agreement on Israel.

The US should oppose the EU and UN sticking their big fat anti-Jew noses into the mess, too.

But, let’s face it. Israel is surrounded by enemies like never before after Obambam’s global community organizing “change.” Bam has set the stage now and it’s going to play out. : (

Pray for Israel.
