Late-term abortionist George Tillers clinic was closed after he was murdered in 2009. The building has been purchased by the Trust Women Foundation and is slated to open this year.
The new owners of the former Wichita clinic of slain abortion provider George Tiller say they expect to open the facility during the first quarter of this year with one full-time and two part-time doctors.
Trust Women director Julie Burkhart told The Associated Press Tuesday the clinic will offer comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological health care services as well as abortions. The clinic has contracted with the doctors and has hired most of the nine or 10 people it plans to employ.
Representatives from the Feminist Majority Foundation are in Wichita this week to assess security measures at the clinic. They are also meeting with local, state and federal law enforcement officials and building community support.
Theres no word yet as to whether or not the clinic will provide late-term abortions.
Interestingly, Trust Womens mission statement includes a section praising Dr. Tiller for his inspirational work.
Dr. George Tiller was an inspiration to reproductive health care professionals and advocates. We at Trust Women shared his vision of an America where women could, without burden, control their reproductive lives, have healthy pregnancies, and deliver safely.
George Tillers inspirational work included performing illegal abortions and flouted Kansas medical laws and regulations. Is that the legacy theyll be continuing?
I wonder how Tiller’s enjoying his stay at the Hades Hilton?
Looks like some are eager to join him.
Can you believe this ?
I hope they close as fast as they open.
Yes, I believe it! I wonder what took so long. Note that the new owner is the Trust Women Foundation which no doubt operates as a tax free 501 (c) (3) and which will enjoy tax deductability for its “contributors.” Leftists and other baby-killers do not expect to pay taxes for their efforts at murdering the next generation.
A “don’t care” provider.
