A Jewish Boycott, what?

What follows is a condensed version of a piece recently sent to me. Those who blame the Jews for the world’s problems should read this:

A short time ago, Iran ‘s Supreme Leader Grand Ayatollah Ali Khomeini urged the Muslim World to boycott anything and everything that originates with the Jewish people. In response, Meyer M. Treinkman, a pharmacist, out of the kindness of his heart, offered to assist them in their boycott as follows:

“Any Muslim who has Syphilis must not be cured by Salvarsan discovered by a Jew, Dr. Ehrlich. He should not even try to find out whether he has Syphilis, because the Wasserman Test is the discovery of a Jew. If a Muslim suspects that he has Gonorrhea, he must not seek diagnosis, because he will be using the method of a Jew named Neissner.

“A Muslim who has heart disease must not use Digitalis, a discovery by a Jew, Ludwig Traube. Should he suffer with a toothache, he must not use Novocain, a discovery of the Jews, Widal and Weil. If a Muslim has Diabetes, he must not use Insulin, the result of research by Minkowsky, a Jew. If one has a headache, he must shun Pyramidon and Antypyrin, due to the Jews, Spiro and Ellege.

Muslims with convulsions must put up with them because it was a Jew, Oscar Leibreich, who proposed the use of Chloral Hydrate. Arabs must do likewise with their psychic ailments because Freud, father of psychoanalysis, was a Jew. Should a Muslim child get Diphtheria, he must refrain from the “Schick” reaction, which was invented by the Jew, Bella Schick.

“Muslims should be ready to die in great numbers and must not permit treatment of ear and brain damage, work of Jewish Nobel Prize winner, Robert Baram. They should continue to die or remain crippled by Infantile Paralysis because the discoverer of the anti-polio vaccine is a Jew, Jonas Salk. “Muslims must refuse to use Streptomycin and continue to die of Tuberculosis because a Jew, Zalman Waxman, invented the wonder drug against this killing disease.

Muslim doctors must discard all discoveries and improvements by dermatologist Judas Sehn Benedict, or the lung specialist, Frawnkel, and of many other world renowned Jewish scientists and medical experts. “In short, good and loyal Muslims properly and fittingly should remain afflicted with Syphilis, Gonorrhea, Heart Disease, Headaches, Typhus, Diabetes, Mental Disorders, Polio Convulsions and Tuberculosis and be proud to obey the Islamic boycott.” Oh, and by the way, don’t call for a doctor on your cell phone because the cell phone was invented in Israel by a Jewish engineer.

Meanwhile I ask, what medical contributions to the world have the Muslims made?” The Global Islamic population is approximately 1,200,000,000; that is ONE BILLION TWO HUNDRED MILLION or 20% of the world’s population. Here is how many Nobel Prizes they have received:

The Jews are NOT promoting brainwashing children in military training camps, teaching them how to blow themselves up and cause maximum deaths of Jews and other non-Muslims. The Jews don’t hijack planes, nor kill athletes at the Olympics, or blow themselves up in German restaurants. There is NOT one single Jew who has destroyed a church. There is NOT a single Jew who protests by killing people. The Jews don’t traffic slaves, nor have leaders calling for Jihad and death to all the Infidels.

Perhaps the world’s Muslims should consider investing more in standard education and less in blaming the Jews for all their problems. Muslims must ask ‘what can they do for humankind’ before they demand that humankind respects them. Regardless of your feelings about the crisis between Israel and the Palestinians and Arab neighbors, even if you believe there is more culpability on Israel ‘s part, the following two sentences really say it all:

“If the Arabs put down their weapons today, there would be no more violence. If the Jews put down their weapons today, there would be no more Israel.”

Thinking about Jew-hate in Tsarist Russia, it’s unlikely many ethnic Russians would accept Jewish leadership. Jews there, on the other hand, could eagerly hope to ease the persecution of the Church and Tsar.

Jews like Osip Minor and Grigori Kipen make an interesting study, while Jewish military cadets were on the front line battling the Bolsheviks, who also had Jews on their side.

Jews practically invented the idea that there’s something wrong with the way things are, which is why Jews might be right-wing but are seldom ‘conservative’ politically.

In my opinion, the Bolshevics were cold-blooded, cynical, brutal, murderous, power grabbing animals who messed up a good country (my country of birth, by the way).

I remember since way back, the TV channel PBS showing history of WW-2. The emphasis seemed to be Nazis killing Jews. As I grew older, the History Channel seemed to, largely, promote this aspect of Nazi Germany. But, Hitler and company learned about the concentration camp from the Soviets! The Nazis just became more efficient with such horrible things. The Soviet history just seemed to be non-existent. It seemed that there was just a white washing of such horrors of the Soviet purges and gulags. Yes, Jews were persecuted too.

It is almost a crime. If the truth about the communists was revealed in full, including the Jewish involvement, then this would be justice to history. No, I do not want the Jew-haters to have more ammunition to condemn Jews. I want more ammunition to temper the arrogant Jews. In my opinion, Jews who strayed from their faith, rebelled against the Lord in Heaven. They parade around as victims and never are they victimizers.

Your name, Mi-Kha-el, asks the question or demands an answer: "Who is like the Lord"?

Glad to...it seems you took my post personally, and you needn't have, since there was nothing directed at you. I am a physician who has received this several times from friends or family and told them the same. As a matter of fact, I found my email response to my cousin from June, 2012. Here it is:

Well, as a physician I can weigh in on this one...I had to chuckle at a few of these: "salvarsan" hasn't been used for perhaps 60 years for syphilis...and it was Neisser, not Neissner...and how did they forget Sabin when talking about polio?

This whole list looks to have been put together 50 years ago...they could have mentioned many more recent Jews...e.g., David Baltimore, Nobel Prize winner, discoverer of reverse transcriptase--the key to understanding the HIV/AIDS virus...but he has done so much more.

Or Gerald Reaven, a Stanford endocrinologist who busted open the thinking about type 2 diabetes with his description of the metabolic syndrome in 1988; it was called "Reaven's Syndrome" until he asked everyone to stop calling it that since there were more people than just he who contributed to this.

There are hundreds more of note, and thousands more of lesser lights...these are just two examples."

Now, back to syphilis [therapy from Merck Manual]:

Sustained-release penicillin
Treatment of sex partners
The treatment of choice in all stages of syphilis and during pregnancy is sustained-release penicillin (ie, benzathine penicillin). All sex partners within the past 3 mo (if primary syphilis is diagnosed) and within 1 yr (if secondary syphilis is diagnosed) should be evaluated and, if infected, treated.

Primary, secondary, and latent syphilis: Benzathine penicillin G 2.4 million units IM given once produces blood levels that are sufficiently high for 2 wk to cure primary, secondary, and early (< 1 yr) latent syphilis. Doses of 1.2 million units are usually given in each buttock to reduce local reactions. Additional injections of 2.4 million units should be given 7 and 14 days later for late (> 1 yr) latent syphilis or latent syphilis of unknown duration because treponemes occasionally persist in the CSF after single-dose regimens.

Patients with a history of IgE (anaphylactic or urticarial) allergic reactions to penicillin should not be treated with a cephalosporin because they may have an allergic reaction. Azithromycin 2 g po in a single dose or doxycycline 100 mg po bid for 14 days may be used, but efficacy of these drugs is not well-defined, particularly for late latent syphilis, and the 14-day regimen requires good adherence. If adherence to the 14-day regimen cannot be ensured, the risk of using a cephalosporin may be justifiable.

Ceftriaxone 125 mg IM or IV once/day for 10 days has been effective in a limited number of patients.

Late or tertiary syphilis: Benign or cardiovascular tertiary syphilis can be treated in the same way as late latent syphilis.

For ocular syphilis or neurosyphilis, aqueous penicillin 3 to 4 million units IV q 4 h for 10 days (best penetrates the CNS but may be impractical) or procaine penicillin G 2.4 million units IM once/day plus 500 mg probenecid po qid is recommended; both drugs are given for 10 to 14 days, followed by benzathine penicillin 2.4 million units once/wk for 3 wk. For patients who have penicillin allergies, azithromycin and doxycycline are effective, so penicillin desensitization is usually not indicated. Ceftriaxone 2 g IM or IV once/day for 14 days can also be effective, but cross-sensitivity with cephalosporins is a concern so it is usually avoided.

Treatment of asymptomatic neurosyphilis appears to prevent the development of new neurologic deficits. Patients with neurosyphilis may be given oral or IM antipsychotics to help control paresis. Patients with tabes dorsalis and lightning pains should be given analgesics as needed; carbamazepine 200 mg po tid or qid sometimes helps.
