Non violent resistance for gun owners. (And everybody else too!!)

Don't like the new laws and restrictions being proposed?


Call your county assessor!!!

TELL HIM YOU ARE NOT GOING TO PAY YOUR PROPERTY TAX!!!

TELL HIM WHY, EXACTLY!!!

IF YOU ARE BRAVE ENOUGH, GO TO THE COUNTY SEAT AND TELL THEM TO THEIR FACES!!!


See they really don't give a single dam about who wins the vote. No matter who wins, they just re-hash the same old crap over and over, it's just different jerks doing the rehashing!

But hit them in their pocketbooks and heads will roll!

This plan works even if you don't own property and live in an apartment, because if you call in anonymously, they don't have a clue who you are...

If you think this is a good idea, email it to folks. Spread it via Twitter or Facebook... whatever floats your boat!

Bad idea. Liens, crippling interest rate penalties, and not too distant tax sale.

Hard to do but would have a better, and more visible effect, would be a extended, nationwide, work stoppage by gun owners. Just have millions of people use a week of sick time the same week and it would be noticed.

Not paying property taxes may be a poor non-violent approach, but it is a consideration.

Been in one war and I’m too old for another. Also too tired to run. I am seriously looking for methods of practical resistance. For example, I am pulling my money out of Bank of America. I wasn’t too happy with them anyway, but if they want to get political, screw ‘em.

My guess would be that half the homes in America have guns.

The real estate meltdown has still not peaked, the banks are waiting to foreclose on maybe hundreds of thousands of properties because they KNOW they can’t flood the market.
It is already overloaded.

If HALF of the gun owners in America called their county and said “Hey. Bottom line. No Constitution, no dice!” They would be so overwhelmed that they would have to say No Prob!

In fact out of ALL the things in America that may divide us or separate us, race, religion, ethnicity, whatever, I would bet that the thing we MOST have in common is being property owners and gun owners.

In that sense, it’s a unifying thing, not a dividing thing.

While property taxes may not be the optimum form of resistance, I think you are on the right track.

I agree- and make sure to tell them why.

Also, instead of paying late, why not find out the exact date the taxes are due and pay as close to that as possible. Around here, one can even go to the clerk’s office on the due date and pay via check.

The Tax not to pay is the FEDERAL INCOME TAX—Put everything you own into the name of a family member so the IRS cannot get a damn thing when you dont pay your income tax.

The state law enforcement will not enforce the Fed’s new gun laws—it is the FED we have to starve.

So the IRS cannot and will not put hundreds of thousands or millions in jail for non-payment of income taxes!! Time to stand up and be counted—Lets not go down like sheep!!!!

You can’t starve the feds.

They own the printing presses and can produce money at will.
Taxes or no taxes,

But the states and the counties are another matter, They are DIRECTLY responsible to the people in their communities!

And while I haven’t said it yet, I suspect that in most counties, the person that understands the Constitution and the state Constitutions is the SHERIFF of that county! The highest elected law enforcement official there is!

Waving the lofty but worthy waving the flag and the constitution arguments doesn’t mean didley squat to what Limbaugh calls the UEVs. Arugments must be presented in a way to the voter that the issue in question directly affects them or those around them.

Governments below the State level run on cash accounting and their borrowing capacity is very limited. If even a small percent of tax payers withhold their property taxes, or even pay “under protest” (thus causing those funds to be sequestered), it causes great shock to the ability of that jurisdiction to function. The cost to the person who chooses this tactic is that interest and penalties must eventually be paid or there will be other consequences that will follow in time. And mortgage holders tend to get excited and may move to declare the loan in default. But the cost is certainly a lot less than the cost of any violent protest.

A predicate tactic might be for wide-scale exercise of the legal avenues to “protest” the assessment upon which the property tax is based. Every dollar that property taxes are reduced is painful to that government. Should a large number of gun owners in the state do this, it might even call the credit rating of the state into question. Now that would hurt them were it counts.

They won’t even do legal tax resistance by galting, or diminishing their incomes to the point where they wouldn’t have to pay income tax — or property tax. (In PA you get a full rebate of prop taxes if your income is low enough.)

But no, too inconvenient, too much of a hardship for these bravos. Cold dead hands they are sitting on.
