At least once a day, Robert Mackey and Paul Trucchio would pray to "the alligator god" that a human head, the only evidence of the brutal murder they committed, would be devoured by a reptile in the Everglades, two witnesses told jurors Thursday.

Toast? Perhaps the phrase sought for is "croutons". Goes better with arugula, I think. With a nice balsamic vinaigrette?

I prefer blue cheese, myself. Drowns out the bitterness of the arugula. Why do people like that stuff, anyway? Iceberg lettuce too bland and boring? Green leaf lettuce wilts too fast? It's a fancy sounding word? Other than used as part of a mix of greens, I don't get it.

Fresh raw spinach though, or down home Southern collard greens, well ok. Now we're talking. And sweet potato pie instead of pumpkin.

A steady supply of all of the above, and I promise I won't huff n' puff and blow your house down. or is that burn it down? oh right, that's the ticket. Nice house you've got there. Would be a shame if anything happened to it.

But it would be ok if you run out of croutons. eh, who needs 'em that much, anyway?

I think we’re off the bottom left of the map. I don’t like arugula, but it came up in my garden along with other lettuce-type stuff. We have a fancy young lady dragon who is crazy about it.

I prefer spinach.

As I awoke to view such sunny skies I was reminded of his beady eyes, the emerald light that shines within, for the Gators soul is free from sin. As I gazed upon the fertile land, I felt the touch of scaly hands, for in its mountains, and on its plains, deep in its valleys, lie His remains. Lord Banyas, the Holy One, the beginning and the end, let our praise rain over Him, our Father and our friend.

That was just beautiful. It made me think of snoozing all day under a high-wattage heat lamp, rising only to nibble a random extremity or two.
