I’m a medievalist and attended Catholic school as a child. I am quite familiar with Catholicism (more than many catholics sadly) which is why I am not Catholic.
Christianity is NOT the Catholic church or any denomination. It is the body of all believers. I am fully a Christian TYVM I AM ‘there’ and I resent your implication otherwise.
Christianity is indeed the Catholic Church....has been for 2,013 years (longer actually) If you are a Christian, and I assume that you are, you are an incomplete Christian by not enjoying what is the fullness of Catholicism. Don't just ignore what I'm telling you, check it out for yourself, find out what the miracle of the Eucharist is....an actual reception of the literal Body and Blood of our lord.....nothing in Christianity is more fulfilling than that....NOTHING!!!
I am sure the Eastern Churches would see it somewhat differently...

Jesus didn’t found a religion. He is the Way, the Truth and The Life. He IS. He is truth. That’s not religion, it’s fact. He died on the cross to save us (those of us who accept what He did for us). That’s plain and simple truth.
May want to bring the Orthodox Church in on that idea...
