Texas has more feral pigs than we can handle.

Is there an open season on them? Have you ever hunted them?

Although feral hogs are not classified as game animals, a hunting license is required to hunt them.

Trapping is a common method utilized by sportsmen and landowners. Live trapping enables the individual to harvest the animal, fatten it up, or sell it.

Let me add to that:

Exceptions:
a hunting license is not required to hunt the following:
depredating feral hogs, if a landowner (resident or non-resident) or landowner’s agent or lessee is taking feral hogs causing depredation on the landowner’s land.
