I'm thankful I was fortunate enough to have the financial resources to care for my wife at home with the assistance of home health. She didn't want to die in a hospital or care center. I found out that she was a much stronger person than I am.

Thank you. I was lucky to be married to a special person. We not only loved each other, we liked each other, enjoyed each others company and spending time together.
My dentist is married to an Asian woman. He is a WASP. She is the boss in their house. She loves gambling in Vegas, spends his money like it is going out of style. She goes to visit her home country every couple of years and is gone for months. On one visit she stayed so long, he sold his practice and followed her to Asia. A few years later, they must have not liked living in Asia so they returned! I was happy since he is the best dentist I have come across in 4 decades.

I was just telling my daughter that dealing with people and having relationships can be tough. And while it may be easier sometimes to go it alone - it is less fulfilling. Because those same people make you whole.
