The Tariff Act of 1789 was the first national source of revenue for the newly formed United States.
Tariffs are better than government-connected bosses accusing American veterans of being commies by requiring them to swear in writing that they're not commies (production shops, decades ago), then making deals with foreign communist nations to destroy the USA while promoting big government unions and anti-family, anti-American NGOs for their daughters.
Government-linked, global interests have also sent their relatives, former employees and other emissaries to local commissioners' meetings to outlaw new, small manufacturing shops while promoting radical environmentalism and animal worship to further regulate against prosperity in our country.
