As long as Missy is happy being with her humans, then just let nature take its course.

One of my friends couldn’t see why I catered to Kitty boy so in his last, long decline, but my contractor compadre understood perfectly, him having both an ancient cat and poodle who are failing, and hence require a lot of extra attention from he and his wife. Kitty boy was not in pain, and his end was peaceful and without trauma-worth every carry to and from the litter box and every spoon feeding.

I think that’s exactly right. If she’s not in pain, let her ease out on her own and don’t let anyone make you feel guilty about it. She’s your dog.

I was coming out of a store yesterday after just mindless chit chat with the cashier who mentioned she was from Oregon - I said something about how pretty it was or something - this other woman was standing by the door listening and just started up a conversation with me! lol I’m not making fun because I can talk to anyone - but she was so chatty and turned out to be from the Pittsburgh area - I think she said Thornburg? I just kept smiling thinking of you two as this lady talked about her nurse daughter snagging a surgeon and moving down here! lol

When I was a workers comp drone, we had “beggars” with will work for food signs, bicycles, and even borrowed kids hanging out at the office building, and at the HEB across the street, accosting us in the parking lot.

The voc eval and I decided to do our very own survey, and after a bit of covert activity, found that the kids were borrowed, and ALL the beggars had cars and homes-most were college students and two were drug dealers-we gave those two up to LEOs. So much for random acts of kindness-and yes, I’m an incurable cynic...

A lot of people consider themselves compassionate when they warehouse a disabled/elderly relative, too-I believe that is cruelty. I’d never do that, and I’d take myself out rather than live in those warehouses, but that is just me. I treat my pets better than that...

I interdigitate almost daily so that I do not clench my fist and punch my representative. :-)

It’s the Iran Contra defense. For basically an Iran Contra offense. And he’s going to need it. I just hope the House doesn’t overreach and go to a futile impeachment.

No snow here-53 and sunny-

When looking at how nothing
Makes any kind of sense at all
But if you interdigitate it,
You can see how we will fall

Like Rome, with too much power
And anger between the classes
And underneath it all, we hear
The constant howling of the masses

Demanding bread and circuses
And everything else for free-
Including some things that are
Out of reach for you and me...

Maybe I need a new career writing doomsday poetry?

You are good at it! l

I’m reading a novel right now that focuses on the government out of control and complete and total media coverup. It was written several years ago but is eerily right on target.

Sounds nice. We started the day rainy and 40. Now it’s snowing and 30. No major accumulation is expected here.

Yes, it was quite clement, particularly on Saturday.

This is the beautiful time of year here - but I don’t try to hide the fact that it is hell during the summer - I’m getting a bit more acclimated after 8 years but still, I detest the summer beyond words. so if I mention the temps this time of year a bit too much please endulge me, it is my only escape from the torture that is June through October

You’ll know when the time is right. My old tabby cat is still hanging around. We won’t take any extraordinary measures when his time comes.

No problem. Flaunt it while you got it. LOL

It was in the 60s during the day when I was there. Nice weather for riding with the windows down.

When the humidity is up, even 60 doesn’t mean riding with windows down -— sometimes you have the airconditioner blowing even with windows down! lol

If you get what we had yesterday, it will be a real storm with real accumulation. We got stuck 3 times last night going to and from the candidate night I was hosting. We never get stuck.

My beautiful and faithful Golden Retriever is n the hospital right now trying to determine what is the matter with him. He’s been vomiting his meals and thus is losing weight. He’s dropped 15 lbs since November — five of it since Sat.

His blood work is all good. His ultrasound showed nothing. He’s lively, but he’s just a bag of bones. They are going to X-ray him today. It breaks my heart. He was a rescue, and we are not really sure of his age, although I’ve had him nearly 11 years. He could be 12-13 years old.
