Sorry about this vanity going out to everyone, I wanted to put it in the Florida State group but don't have a post or reply button present.
I have an extra ticket to the Daytona 500. I'm in Jacksonville and am looking for someone to go with. The person I bought the ticket for has medical problems and can't go.
Here is the deal. The ticket is $130 and it's in the Oldfield section (coming out of turn 4). If you're in Jax and want to go, you can either buy the ticket, or pay gas, parking and food, drink. I'm not a big eater or drinker so you'd get off cheap (relatively speaking).
The weather forecast is for a possible thunderstorm so you may want to drive yourself (foregoing the price of gas) since I won't be able to stay should the race start time be pushed out past 1 p.m. If I do leave, I'll give you my ticket no charge. (Hey, I gotta work Monday morning to support the EBT'ers).
If you're interested, please Freepmail me.
I can see it better on TV, Don’t have to walk a mile to the toilets, I will be able to hear when it is over, and I wouldn’t get in that mob and traffic for love or money.
But I wish you luck someone here will Shirley take you up on it.
Yea, I know. But it’s on my bucket list, like the Georgia/Florida football game, which I went to last year, and which the Dawgs won 17-9.
Some things you can only do once.
The Only Nascar race I ever attended was at Michigan International. WE went ther on out motorcycles about 500 miles from home. It was a good ride.
The noise was something else an we had seats at the top of the grandstand. I had to watch the tote board to know who was ahead, The cars on the backstretch were about half a mile away fro us so wew couldn’t see much there except smoke when someone hit.We had to climb the same stairs as a 5 story building when we had to pee and get food, thought we would never get out of the traffic when it was over.
I guess it’s great for the real Nascar fans, but once was enough for me. I can watch Dale Jr. run 12th in the comfort of my home.
Florida ping?
Do you promise not to bury me in a shallow grave?
I can hear the track from my house. I hate that place. Good luck, though.
