Did you miss it? ...

Texas textbooks determine what children learn nationwide.

“I believe that dinosaurs were on Noah’s Ark … somebody’s got to stand up to these experts.” (Don McElroy, former member of the Texas State Board of Education).

Watch “The Revisionaries,” on PBS tomorrow night, January 28th:

Texas schoolchildren need to be educated in the just discovered truth that everything came from nothing.

There is no such thing as leftwing propaganda to the majority of Americans.

I think I’ve seen bits of this on PBS.

Left wingers manipulate the curricula behind the scenes for decades and that’s perfectly fine.

Conservatives attempt to push the pendulum back a tiny bit, and do so publicly, and suddenly it’s a scandal.

The Texas Legislature was grilling a book supplier the other day for writing that the members of the original Boston Tea Party were terrorist just like their modern counterparts.

I looked at a geography book one of my kids brought home before we moved them to private school, it was all about sociological issues and how much third world toilets contributed to the world, not much about country borders and such.

It is not we who are ignorant of their silly evolution story. In fact we teach it so that our children will understand somewhat of what and how the evolutionist thinks.

The ignorance is on the evolutionist side, as they do not know what and how we creationists think, but rather endeavor, from their ignorance, to misrepresent and ridicule us with strawman, ad bacculum, ad hominem, and ad absurdem arguments.

As textbooks nationwide still lean Liberal, the influence of Texas social conservatives is not only overblown by the MSM but, like all the “red neck” productions coming out of Hollywood, just another tactic of the evil Left to put Conservative Christians in a bad light.

I think textbooks should be based entirely in empirical fact as long as they don't go out of their way to be dick Dick Dawkins, who states after a fact, that Christians are too stupid to understand 1+1=2...

...that's just pure hateful bigotry and we should not teach our children that.

The educational establishment, as much as any group, has lost the instinct for national self-preservation.

I think very few conscientious parents ever have regrets about taking their kids out of public schools these days. Good move on your part.

Professing Christians really need to evaluate what their believes are. Do they believe Gods word sometimes or all the time? Genesis 1 is true, Paul told us to demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ, we must stand firm and refute lies. Yes we will be mocked but truth is truth.

What’s important to realize in the debate about who controls what kids learn is the fact that public education is a completely leftist idea. Only leftists seek to control the minds of others’ children. Conservatives (or you could say Freedom Lovers) have always understood that they’re uniquely qualified to teach their kids. Dewey and all those cats knew that socialism can only work when parents have less influence.

There so much evidence, writings, and personal experience out there that obliterate the notion that many conservatives hold on to. Leftist are very good at taking good institutions and turning them bad because that’s what defines them, it’s what they do and their purpose for being. Conservatives, by their definition, cannot and have not successfully take over Leftist institutions. The public schools, in every state, will continue to pump out low information welfare recipients or social justice activists. There will be a dwindling number of people who overcome their indoctrination.

Any push made by conservatives will only create a more affective push back by Leftist. They’ll win because it’s their institution: Designed by them, for them, and after their own image.

Loved your post so appropo and true. Cool FR est date too - 4/4/4 - is that meant to reflect Jesus?

Here’s a free online science text for any / all homeschooling christians out there - creationscience.com - written and illustrated for easy understanding but referenced with too many other scientific books and articles to even begin counting. I bought the 8th edition hardback for just over $30 too.
