You’re reading too much into it.

20 years and it’s Oscar season.

It’s a wonderful dream, that a Liberal with the political and cultual heft of Spielberg would “GET IT”, is pure paranoia.. Sorry.. :(

Maybe it is a coincidence that they are showing Shindler’s List, but it is Oscar night too. Remember Spielberg is a staunch supporter of the Usurper. I guess he hasn’t learned a thing and you know what happens? History repeats itself.

So, Spielberg decides where and when which of his movies is shown? Who knew?!

It’s probably a preview of coming events, except this time people will be forced to wear a yellow Bill of Rights patch on their clothing....

Do you know why the Nazis felt justified in destroying the Jewish population? They considered themselves the victims of the Jews, because Jews were too successful. It was another kind of class warfare, just like in communist nations. And just like what liberals today are attempting to inflame again, with their constant complaining about “greedy corportations”, and greedy conservatives who won’t share the wealth. So the Nazis took away what the Jews had and by way of it their lives as well.

I worked with a Jewish woman who told me that Schindler armed the Jews who were working for him. They seemed to leave this out of the movie.

Or am I being paranoid?

Not paranoid, more like deluded to think a TV programmer has an ulterior motive in showing one of the generally avowed top ten films of all time. They are probably constantly looking for any excuse to show it.

The best outcome - a “Who is John Galt” exercise, the actual reason - money.

USA Network is owned by NBC Universal, Schindler’s List was distributed by Universal, so Spielberg isn’t showing anything. He’s nowhere in that decision tree.

Interesting Idea:

Other spielberg films

Jaws-bad guy was the Mayor (who was screwing up by bowing to capitalism however)

Close Encounters of the Third Kind (Big govt. was secretive and liars)

Raiders of the Lost Ark - at the end of the movie the Ark of the Covenant got lost in a government warehouse.

E.T. The bad guys were the govt people in radiation suits coming to take ET away to the govt. labs.

Jurasic Park Runaway capitalism is bad.

Minority Report- Govt. makes mistakes in preemtive justice.

Those are the Spielberg movies I’ve seen and although it is a mixed bag, He does seem to be very wary of govt. and also wary of capitalism.
