Members of Congress are taking action to confront last summer’s move by the Obama Administration to gut the 1996 welfare reform law of its work requirements.

Make sure recipients have to be drug tested periodically. If its good enough for those paying to be tested at work to keep their jobs, it’s good enough for those receiving to be tested to keep getting the free money.

So congress has to go create more law to enforce a law already on the books because of the lawless one. It seems like there is already crime in this somewhere.

Based on some of the welfare recipients I’ve seen, a decent chunk would have their befits cut off.

Florida passed a welfare reform law in 2011 that did just that. A federal judge found mandatory drug testing for benefits unconstitutional. We used to be self governing.

If judges persist in issuing orders that have no basis either in precedent or in the written constitutions they have sworn to defend then such judges need to be defied and they need to be impeached. Not obeyed.
