Sen. Al Franken Wants to Hear Your AR-15 Story!
cheaper than dirt ^ | 3-1-13 | Dave Dolbee

Although the competition was fierce for the top spot as the most absurd democrat at the hearing, I would have to say Sen. Al Franken bested the highly competitive field. Now don’t get me wrong, gun control is not a Republican or Democrat issue, but the lunatics running the asylum on this issue are solidly democrat. Al Franken used his time in front of the camera to say he had never heard of a single circumstance where a civilian had ever used an AR-15 for self-defense.

...I’ve never heard of a single circumstance where anyone thought Franken was funny. Or that he was anything more than a dung beetle.

What a jerk Frankes-Feinstein is.

All he has to do is join the NRA, which will automatically subscribe to the Rifleman or Hunter Magazine. The Armed Citizen is on page 10 every month. He can read a small sampling of second-amendment personal defence stories there every month, where he will also occasionally see a story where an AR-15 or other military style rifle has saved the day.

Refer Al to the 1992 L.A. riots, with shop keepers protecting their neighborhood from the roof.

We need a video of Obama and his staff threatening the nation with reduced law enforcement and national security.

Follow that with rolling script and voice over:

THIS is why American citizens NEED semi-automatic rifles with 30 round magazines.

To protect our families, our homes, our communities, and our nation, when the government FAILS in those responsibilities.

Apparently he ignored the video tape of the guard in a tax service company fighting off two armed robbers with an AR type rifle.

Perhaps this idiot can ask that question of Homeland Defense.

Wasn’t it their department that just ordered a bunch of them as home defense rifles?

If they know you have one you won’t have to use it.

Then there is no need to ban them...apparently they are not used much...

Idiot.

I figure everyone who actually would respond to this will get put on a list to have their home raided.

How about more people are killed by hammers than AR15’s.

Al and those like him purposely miss the point. The guns are needed in case we have to fight a tyrannical government in the future, you know, a government like the one he is a part of.

Screw him, he doesn’t want to hear any truth and deserves no answers.

I found a link on the net that may be the incident you have in mind (WJBK -- Inkster, Michigan). It contains both a story and a video.

“never heard of a single circumstance where a civilian had ever used an AR-15 for self-defense”

Well dunce, it’s like this, just having one is enough of a deterrent.

Any more dumb a$$ questions?

...and of course the unfortunate need for a disclaimer just in case albie thinks I might be referring to him/her.

He’d be happy to hear your story. Just send him your story along with your name, address, social security number, a sample of your DNA, and a voluntary campaign contribution of $1000 or more.

Several weeks ago an apartment in the same complex/building as my nephew's apartment was broken into. But the would-be robbers came face-to-face with a guy (friend of nephew's) holding an AR-15. They fled at the mere sight of it. Good thing, nephew's friend had made a serious tactical error - he couldn't find the magazine for it when he heard them breaking in. They ran from an unloaded rifle.

He has since found the magazine... It would've been better if he had the mag and could've held them for police. As it was, he was just happy to have scared them off. Unfortunately later that night, a mile or so away, two robbers (matching their description) successfully broke into another apartment, severely beat the unarmed person they found there, and stole a bunch of property.

This was just the latest in a long string of incidents - vandalism, other break-ins at apartments and into vehicles, etc. in the area. My nephew and his roommate broke their lease and moved to a better part of town last week.

There was a dangerous shootout in the Inkster incident, with the guard shooting once through the wall at waist level (but maybe he’d seen that the others had gotten down on the floor). The robber had shot first at the guard, and the sight of the guard’s rifle may have been what caused him to turn and run instead of finishing him off. The AR-15 may have saved the guard’s life.
