Guy Ritchie is the most likely contender to direct the next James Bond film, according to bookmakers William Hill.
It was announced this week that despite overwhelming success at the box office, Skyfall director Sam Mendes will not be returning to make the next film, the 24th in the series leading to widespread speculation about who should direct next.

Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holms movies were really Bond movies.

I’m a big Guy Ritchie and probably the biggest Bond nerd you’ll meet, but somehow, this cross-over doesn’t seem to fit. Yea, his Sherlock movies have often been compared, but there is just something not Bond about his overall style.
Completely out of left field, but here’s a crazy idea.
Before you slam it, keep in mind that his recent disasters were terrible stories...

Well Avatar: The Last Airbender is a really rich story that was terribly done. Check out the series on Netflix, you too will be amazed at the terrible conversion. I’m not sure who’s at fault with that one.

What if it turns out that James Bond is really dead, and his spirit keeps possessing different people’s bodies? And he can hear people’s thoughts, which is the real reason why the bad guys always seem to tell him what they’re going to do? And he’ll keep taking people’s bodies until he meets a guy who’s as dorky as he is cool? And he can do all these unrealistic things because they’re all only in his mind.

I thought Snatch and the prequel to it Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels were pretty good. The ending twists were great.
Loved those two flicks. Daniel Craig was awesome in Layercake.
